Seeking Great Games like "I walk among Zombies?"

I recently played this game on a whim and holy shit is it good. Probably one of the only games I've played where I actually gave a flying fuck about the characters.
I found this game from a random thread and now I'm wondering what other gems I'm missing out on that may not be as popular with the general community.

There is a novel similar of the game but I did not like it in particular...
A game recommendation similar to this... Well the genres are all over the place.

I will recommend visual novel that gave me the same feeling in a particular ending/route or overall feeling of regret, pain and maybe sadism or depression even happiness and fulfillment.

School days / shiny days (the protagonist is a scumbag and there are a lot of choices)

Midori no Umi (the protagonist can be a shit person)

Tsukihime (well it gave me sadness)

Steins;gate / Steins;gate 0 (some endings bring me pain until now)

Muv-Luv / Muv-Luv alternative (one of the best novels for me)

Well, as said the genre are mixed and the style/story are completely different but they are some of the novels that I cared about the characters. Where I did not skip anything and played slow and steady.

I hope you can find true emotions playing these games.

Nanairo Reincarnation is still to date my all time favorite VN for the story. Crying at 3:00AM in the morning is hard to hide lmao.

I just finished I Walk Among Zombies and I feel the same, such a good game.

One game I can recommend is Everlasting Summer. It's a Russian VN (with many different routes/endings, including a couple of secret endings), but definitely one of the best non-Japanese VNs, and I say this even if I probably can't fully appreciate it given its many references to 1980's USSR in the VN. The male MC is an interesting and relatable character, and so are the female characters. It even has its fair share of horror, just like IWAZ.
