You got some minmax advice besides using a save editor to give yourself height.

One other option I found works well is to go shopping before fighting anyone and get 5 packs of the the demonic cards. Your goal is to get at least 2 Demon Castle Ziegheld cards. Each castle will deal you 10 damage and then give you height equal to the missing hp (max of 150 per use), afterwards that card is removed for the rest of the combat. You can help streamline this process by getting Demonic Temptress and Demonic Empowerment to increase your max HP ( and steal your opponent's height in the case of Demonic Temptress).

Do not worry about winning fights, only gaining as much height as possible. The update gave many damage upgrades to everything and LOTS more health to the opponents ( BOOOOOOOO!!). During the last time block of the day, go to Arena Inside and purchase Health Booster from Titania on the right (You could also get Stomp and Oblivion now, but you will have more chances to purchase them later). This increases your max health by 5 every night for better survivability and more efficiency with the Demon Castle Strat over time. Your goal is about 1600 height.

Why that much? You are going to spend 1450 of it for arguably the best height gaining method in the game, and leave you with a small buffer to not drop below 100 height in the next combat. Go to the Casino Side Room from the Casino Floor Map choice and talk to Porschia on the left. Ask her about the Old Book for 250 height. Now go to the Bazaar and talk to Violet about the old book for 1000 height. Go elsewhere on the map (like Home), then to the menu and use the old book item. Go back to the Bazaar and you should get a cutscene about the first giantess. Several CG scenes later, you are given the card The First Giantess. This a zero cost card that gives you height equal to your opponents height (does not steal, just flat out adds that much height to yours in combat). It can only be used once per fight, but it adds up fast.

What's the catch with such an awesome card? It's 100 Deck Points. You can play casino games to try getting more deck points, but a safer method is to go shopping again with 200 spendable height and make 4 deck points purchases. Each purchase is 50 height and adds 25 deck points. With the thousands, and potential tens of thousands of height you can get from this, buy cards to your heart's content and experiment away.

Good luck!

Faster/better answer, though fairly tedious loop instead of the demon one, in getting a 20 fairy card deck with a fairy sage, fairy's gift, mana flooded fairy(not entirely needed but handy, +2 mana capacity buff), and gluttonous fairy (completely required). The cycle is pretty simple, gluttonous fairy deletes two cards for 30 height. Sage generates a new card in hand, and another in deck after 10 fairy cards are played. Fairy cards also often have stuff like boost effects then remove from play to self-remove.

The end-goal is to have a deck size small enough to simply use fairy sage to add two cards to your total deck, use fairy's gift to draw 4 (2 default,+2 after 10 uses),use gluttonous fairy to delete the two cards added, repeat.Add in some healing cards (soothing fairy for low cost spammable healing, buff their heal with other cards to fit the required 20 card count, fairy spring for regen/draw speed, etc) and you should be set to go basically until the enemy threatens to twoshot you. You can shoot up thousands of height in one fight if the enemy isn't too aggressive. If you want to actually win you can do that too, just use the fairy sage's attacks as they get stronger the more they're used as well.

There also is a similar infinite loop that can be done with the galactic deck cards, exiling as many galactic cards then get voidborn from some of the cards, which gives height scaling on exiles. There's also specifically Galactic Voidborn which with void curse can make your opponent bigger too, if you want them to get in on the growth. Less plausible to infinite growth (since growing them makes them both stronger and galactic has basically no heals for it's own forcing you to find that elsewhere, and voidborn only counts galactics) but an option as well.

Additionaly, if you want heals the more expensive, but stronger option is unlocking the diner from the bunny rumors, and then getting ambrosias at 300 a pop for +50 hp a pop,and you can get two per time slot (which might be a bug)

The version is really 9.6, the author did not replace 9.5 with 9.6.
The deck of sucubs and others is opened after their completion (no spoilers)

So I was able through painful and slow searching in the code of this game that i found a way to unlock in cg gallery(there could be more ways but I dont think I will search for a better way I am fine as I found it)
I will tell the how to do it (please do note to save your config in case you made a mistake since it will softlock at start and all your proggres is gone)
First go to or any save editor that allows you to write in the file
Second go to your game files and find the folder save there just put the config in the save editor
Third find where "cgGalleryUnlocks" is and below should be a lot of names of characters, ending cg or backrounds.
Now just type name of the specific thing you are looking for in " " and write it exacly how is spelled in the file because you can softlock the game (also for characters with multiple images put the number right after the namewith no space)[you can see what you have and you can tell what your missing by the numbers].Also seems like Porschia and Izel for their 11 have some special condition that if not met seems to not register the unlock(there could be more but did not check all of them)
Forth move the og config somewhear and put the modefied one and it should work.
NOTE:some characters have different names that are not the same (Aria is in the config named Shopkeeper)
Now i dont know all the names of characters and etc that i dont have that are in the game files or code so if sombody that mostly completed the cg is willing to put it on the site is a very generous thing to do.
An example(not the best but is an example):

There is a much easier way. Use this site: . simply go to the img/pictures folder and add any files you wanna see. then you can download them as normal images. Works even when when selecting all of the pictures (although it sometimes misses some)

Again, how many height scaling damage option is available to the player even if you technically can get infinite height (Obvious Stomp capped at 1000 damage and you tend to need to deal thousand more atleast) so you can build up damage without relying on deck archetype and endure through the jank ass UI and animation.

With the way how NickSav cranked through the scaling with these version I seriously doubt that he actually played through his own game like a normal player would be without any meta knowledge and think this is somehow acceptable that you need way more effort to finish a game with very little content to offer in return to the player since the PC size variants exhaust at like 1600 height???

I kinda figured old saves were incompatible, yeah. That's why I was asking nick, to confirm. I do however still get the TypeError message in the card shop even on a fresh save, without my old saves there. So I'm unable to buy any cards from there at all, regardless of old saves or fresh.

...But at least nick IS working on fixing things, so I'm not gonna hate him just because there's issues in a TEST build, y'know.
It is a Test build. There's expected to be bugs galore.
I'll be doing rebalances on alot of skills and HP totals later on.
Quite a few cards are placeholders for the moment, to be added later on. Added so i know to keep space for them mostly.

but yes, previous saves will not work i'm afraid. eventually it'll get to a point where previous versions will carry over with no issues.
I afraid that even using "TEST BUUUILD" as an excuse is not gonna cut it. Who could've thought that playing the same card that take likes 5 seconds of animations 10000 times over every single time to beat someone is a bad idea???? Or the fact that having to use "+1 DMG each use" to deal with enemies of 10000HP is somehow an idea you entertain????

And somehow there is little to basically none height related options IN A HEIGHT GAIN game which genre alluded to power fantasy and there is practically NO POWER???

It was referring to the fact that you are using it being test build as if its a justification for its egregious implementation. READ

Probably had multiquote from a while back and goofed posting both. I've done that once. Either way, Nick is working on tweaking some things I guess as he's back on his patreon again.
No it is completely intentional.

is this game growing rivalry ever gonna get to be a completeed rpg game
I am pretty sure at this point he has moved on to his new project called uh project F.A.T. or something according to his later patreon post.

That was posted back in February, and wasn't even the same topic as damage scaling. There's been updates since then.

The context of your comment on NickSav is fixing thing and referring to the game being a test build is replying to a comment about the game balancing which in this case, overtuned hp scaling.

And as far as I am aware of, there hasnt been any meaningful update that address the issue since then and with people going back to v8.6
