Ren'Py - Gunpowder Cocktail [v0.7.0 Test] [ByteHog Prime]

If you're looking for a sensual experience that goes beyond the obvious, this game is definitely a worthwhile choice to explore.
Overall, this exceeded my expectations in terms of narrative, visuals, and gameplay. It's an impressive example .

The higher rating is mostly because the LI's Sophia and Hazel are stunning. If not for them, and the anticipation of things to come ntr wise, I would rate this much lower. There's a lot wrong with this game:
- very badly implemented sandbox elements, it's impossible to enjoy without a walktrough mod. The dev should drop this completely going forward.
- lots and lots of teasing in the ntr department, abruptly ending the scenes, effectively blue balling the player. This is just due to poor writing skills, trying to prolong the game in an artificial way.
- the story and dialog are beyond suspension of disbelief and make little to no sense more than half the time.
- some of the facial expressions are hideous.
- the mc is an idiot and a perv, very unlikable, it does make it easier to go the ntr route and root for all the 'bad guys' in the story.

I wouldn't recommend it in it's current state (or future if you dislike ntr), but I think when the dev finally includes some scenes where the LI's get 'conquered' by some of the ntr characters, it could give us some really hot stuff. I'm going to pick this one back up, once that happens.

Despite being a "recently new game" it is a total gem.

I will give it 5 stars, it is like the game was made by me.
if u like NTR where the mc does not participate active(not sharing) this is your game, do not hesitate.

a hidden gem. This game seems to be right at the beginning, so maybe we don't have that much content, but the story and characters unfold well and in a humorous way within a story that can walk between NTR and classic harem vanilla. Knowing this, this game manages to make an interesting harem for the standard vanilla genre, but I believe that its greatest potential is in NTR, and I believe that it was and is built to be that way, let's say it is an edible NTR for the haters of the gender, of course if you're not very sensitive and even the good humor of the situations doesn't hold back your sensitivity. Finally, I believe that the main story can be the focus, developing the characters' routes through choices and especially the NTR routes that are the best, we have two spin-offs but at this point the focus should be on the main game.

Although the game was slow in progress at first, it progressed very well afterwards. It can be said that while it was an empty land at first, the producer turned the field into a place full of fertile vegetables. I hope the maker of this game continues to develop it. It's impossible not to get excited about the future of the game.

Plot and character responces are hard to believe.
MC is an imbecile.
Sex scene are straight out of an adolecent fantasy's with writing to match.
Females are atractive hence the score and only reason it's not a one.
I give it a two and I think i'm being generous.
Didn't get past the start of the first sexual encounter with Jade.
And honestly I didn't want too.
Tried it, hated it, deleted it, rated it and moved on

is this a first release? no. yet it looks like one with so little content that my first impression is negative. getting 'end of content' message with one character from the get go and all the rest in no time.

then we get to game design. with so little content i seemed to be spending an inordinate amount of time skipping.
sandbox....why exactly? if it was removed then all that will be lost is some pointless render hunting and the game would be massively enhanced as a VN. so not great on the design front.

the writing and story is run-of-the-mill and dialogue is so immature it may as well still be sucking on a pacifier.

visually it is good, but as this is pretty much it's only redeeming quality, pointless to write more as this will be my first and only visit to this game.

also, i hit not one single error so at least the dev knows how to code.

It's absurd to change day to see a scene, sometimes looks like an empty game and sandbox tries to hide it. If this was a VN it wouldn't last 4 min gameplay.

Going to try to write this review as best as I can for the people that like to read reviews before playing a game or downloading it.

I want to start off by saying this is probably all around one of the best adult games that I have ever played. I have played a lot of different games in my time but this one seems to hit the marks on every single aspect.

Starting with the models, truly some of the best models I have seen for a game. All of them hot in their own ways and none of them seem copy and paste at all. Even when it comes to the difference in minor skin details between the girls it is all there. Sophie has to be one of the hottest MILFS in a game I've seen, but the way her personality is and reacts to the MC's advances are realistic but also at the same time show so well how she's sexually deprived and captures that really well. Every time you have a girl show skin or in a situation with the MC it's truly a great scene and one that moves the story along well and satisfies your need every time you think this game is in a slow burn stage.

The plot is one pretty unique to what I've seen, the relationship between the MC and his mentor is one you would think is one sided where the MC is going to be used or taken advantage of. But for some reason as the story progresses you can't help but start to really admire the mentor as he can really be a way to get the MC to realistically have access to the women he's always wanted and new ones as well.

The functionality of the game is very smooth and consistent. No grind fest, extras that can be found in the game are actually worth it and not renders that you wouldn't be looking forward to. The music in between scenes is great if you're ever chilling in the sandbox portions. Dialogue is well written and great between the characters too. Every time people are involved in a scene their personality stands out so much and really makes you familiar with the world that is GPC

Last thing I will mention is the comedy in this game. GREAT sense of humor from the Dev and it's just that much more enjoyable with a game where you play it and you have a bunch of laughs to go along with the buildups of the sexy scenes you are mainly waiting for. The humor in this game and the way the characters all have a playing role within the comedy and jokes make this game truly what it really is. Which is overall a great game that you would actually want to play and get attached to rather than your run of the mill VN where you find yourself clicking through some, most or all of the dialogue just to get to the scenes you were looking for in the first place.

Not with this game, this game is a true HIDDEN GEM that you will be glad you take your time with. A game that will no doubt be one of the best ever on F95 if the Dev stays consistent as they are being right now. Okay, first of all, even with a limited amount of content this game has "soul". This may be a subjective point, but not all games are like that. Heres why i consider it:

- Great models with different appearance traits, expressions and body types. Only by this you can tell the devs care about the creation process. And oh, the MILF is spetacular in every way.
- Different personalities and unique aspects of most characters, especially the family. An example is how truthfull it feels that a character is your sister, mother or barely knows you,
- Nice dialogue. I it not a top tier level of dialogue, but it is good enough to make you wanna read, either the normal conversations or the kinky talk.
- Interesting setting with family. Although this "live with your family troupe" is overused, you actually care for the well being of the female characters and kinda gets the "oh no" vibe from some moments
- Even the NTR is well done. No sex scenes wth or without the NTR yet, but the pacing caught yp in the last update and things did get steamy.
- Map and house are easy to uderstand and there are hints available. This item is more important than you think, cause c´mon, thats a story with porn not an RPG.

In other words, the game got soul because you can see the effort with every aspect. I might not be a huge fan of every girl, but even so, i can see many people with different tastes ejoying the characters and having a good time.

So far i have no complaints and hope the devs keep the good work.

Art's mostly ok; faces suck. Sisters look mid-thirties and mom looks younger than either.

Writing is disagreeable; Scenario's been done (ooh Mom + 2 Hot Sisters, how novel). Narrative has been done, and I dislike both the voice and the main character.

What porn I found was juvenile and poorly paced. None of it got me going and several scenes added to my distaste for the writing.

Gameplay implementation is a waste of time. Faux sandbox with very poor signposting and a shitton of "I don't feel like / need to talk to X".

TLDR: I didn't get much out of this.

While still being early on this game has great potential by not being afraid to jump straight into those sexy Roommate and landlady situations while still keeping a good pace and not blowing it's load in the first couple updates. along with Fantastic looking women and renders.

Tone of the game is light and comedic which is a breath of fresh air from all the super serious try hard "story teller" developers we have these days. while offering an actual even balance of Vanilla and ntr content which is 100% avoidable for those who are on the fence about it.

Quite funny game at the beginning, i enjoyed and hoped for some ntr action but so far it's only the introduction, i don't recommend anyone to download it for now, if they are trying to fap on it or maybe even looking for a sex scene since all we have a scene per character and all of them will leave us with only blueballs might come back after six months or more but not now.

This has a surprising lack of content.
It has some sure but it feels more like an intro and slight start to the game than anything else.

I do appreciate that nearly every scene has some kind of nudity or sex.
Unfortunately the sex is pretty quick and not too enticing most of the time.

I like the sleep stuff but it's very... lacking. 1 short scene per girl in the house.
The scenes are too small to really feel like much is there.

I think it suffers a lot from the choice of going sandbox as well. A whole lot of empty sandbox with like 4 scenes or so.

tldr:
It needs a lot of content, and the content really needs to be lengthened to be enjoyable imo.

Nice imagery, funny enough story with a bit of chaotic energy.
Characters are good and thefew scenes they are in so far looks promising.

Map and UI is a little lacking imo
By that I mean it should either be both possible to click your way to all locations available in the map and on the map UI at the side of the screen and not a mix of the two where some rooms are not possible to access without the map UI e.g. MC's room

Hints are a welcome feature with how the scenes are set up, in that they are sometimes set on the same day at the same time and not directly after each other i.e. morning and then afternoon.
The skip feature should include a skip whole day instead of "tediously" having to click your way through from morning till night and then clicking on the MC's bed.
The fact that two different characters have a scene on the same day at the same time, and only at that time... Means that you have to choose one and then skip through the whole week for the other character is a big flaw imho.

If the point of the skip and hint system is to make it easier fo the player then the "simplest" solution would be to just make a [Skip to Scene]-button.


Some good, and some things that could be improved/changed.
Not bad at all

The girls, especially MCs mom and the police officer, look absolutely amazing. Great renders. Dev also has quite the talent for creating hot facial expressions for his characters.

Right now the big negativ thing is that there isn't much content. I would also like the story to develop much slower to build up some tension (quite weird that MC just gets a handjob from his mom - render and anglewise hot scene tho). There also is a real need for more sleep sex scenes - right now there is only one scene per girl and it's just quite weird that MC can give his mom a titjob without her waking up - it would be absolutely okay if there would be a little grind to get sleeping pills, drugs or whatever.

However, I will give this game five stars since it looks amazing and I believe that there is a lot of potential.

Edit: I also want do add that I totally like the way how you can avoid scenes that you don't like. I'm most certain that most people love this option and it's a great thing to offer rapey stuff, NTR and whatever to people without forcing them to see it. Great approach.

Clean presenters and good-looking ladies. The story has real potential. This isn't the first game about mobs, but they usually have a story similar to college or landlord games. Looking at the labels here, it looks like we can expect better things.

Not that much content at the moment (v0.2.0 Final), but it is a promising game.

Pros:
-Comedic and doesn't take itself seriously.
-Great renders.
-Original character designs.

Cons:
-So far seems to have the feel of a sandbox, but it feels empty. This will likely be remedied later on, but I was skipping DAYS to get to the next event.
-Sandbox functions feel unnecessary with the fairly static choices provided in game. There seems to be no hidden values, which makes the sandbox system mostly a moot point at the moment.

Other:
-Just my personal opinion, but I would prefer more choices and hidden values (love/hate/etc) for a sandbox style game (that could dictate NTR instead of static choices)

I will tag this game and wait for a couple more updates to see how this progresses since the goofyness is great and CG is too. I feel uncomfortable rating this game since it is so early, but as long as it stays the course this is long like a good/great game if the developer stays the course.

It was really fun to play, the renders and animations were beautiful, those are sure the biggest weapon of the game. The characters are diverse and hot as hell. The writing of the game is a bit ridiculous and comical but honestly, I don't expect a very serious story from a porn game anyway, so it doesn't matter. Those girls mixed with the quality of the images was enough to put it at 5 stars
