VN - Ren'Py - Halfway House [Ep.11 - Bonus 7-9] [Az]

Graphics = 10.0, if it improves it spoils.
Characters = 9.5, we could have developed the characters more, but the way they were made is not bad.
Bugs = I didn't find any during the 7 episodes, everything went according to plan.
Plot = 8.5, many of the dialogues were tedious and easily implied, could be summarized or be more direct.

General note for the game = 9.5 (but by rounding I will put 5 stars instead of 4), I particularly liked the game and I recommend to you who are reading this to download it, for the reasons described above.

A refreshing, unusual plot ; with well-thought out characters and dialogues, each having his own personality and acting/talking accordingly.

There's something for everyone : the warm MILF, the sexually liberated goth, the inexperienced tsundere girlfriend. As for side characters, such as the flatmate or the MILF's friends, they have their own endearing personalities as well.

These make for a story which I really enjoyed so far (ep. 7), it's pretty immersive with some funny plot twists.
Some complain about the dearth of sex scenes, but given that the theme of the novel is a coming-of-age story, it's fine IMHO. It's the hero's journey that's most enjoyable.

All of that is complemented with top notch graphics. It is notable that there are (non-sexual) animations which usefully serve to illustrate a scene ; making this visual novel more lively.

Can't wait for the next episode !

This game is definitely worth to play.
It kind of reminds me of Acting Lessons.
Though some might say that the game is slow-paced or too many teasing,
I think that makes the story more reasonable and enjoyable.

I really want to love this game; the renders are beautiful, the story is good, and the cast is diverse and interesting.

However I couldn't enjoy this game as much as I would have because of how unlikeable the MC is. I get that this is supposed to be a porn game and he was in juvie but does he have to be whiny and horny all the time. His dialogue and behaviour is pretty cringe especially how he behaves towards the girl who is supposed to be his main love interest.

This game got progressively harder to sit through because of the MC and the fact that there's little sexual content to offset how annoying the MC is meant that I lost patience with this game which is a shame.

Its a beautiful game! the details in the narrative are perfect, compassing by the images minousciously put in deliver to the player a nice athmosphere and a well selected music for every moment. VERY WELL CHARACTERS, every each of the with a nice background... THE HISTORY CAPTIVATE YOU IN NO TIME... five stars and please keep workin on this game man! First of all, you can play this game just for the story and you'd still have a great time!

This is imo one beautiful game, it has some great scenes. the characters feel real, and the models don't look like brand store barbie dolls.

The creator(s?) of this game, I feel, have written a good story, it also inverts a lot of tropes from other Adult Games in a thoughtful way(such as sneaking into someone's room and then doing things while they are sleeping, having a male rival in the house who also wants to fuck same people, etc )

At the moment that I'm writing v7 is out, it has good amount of content(say 2-3 hours) if you play with the intent of reading all dialogues.

The characters, have backstories that the game explores bit by bit, the characters feel realistic in a way they react to situations ( though some characters arc are a bit sped up I feel.)

All in all, good game which I'm looking forward to finish once it's fully out. I'm even going to be a patron for a month on patreon!!

One of my favorite games! Excellent writing, interesting characters, some pretty funny dialogue, and beautiful renders. I love that the story is intelligent and not just a wall-to-wall fuckfest. I've completed chapter 7 and I'm really looking forward to the rest of the story. Keep up the great work!

This is the kind of story that I have really come to like. It has a solid story with interesting characters and just enough of the sexy bits to keep that part alive. I like the games that it is a bit more slow burn than some awkward 2 minutes in and already screwing the main target.

The only complaint I really have is they over the top flirtation, every time a female is around. I forgive a little because of the MCs background. Bit over the top there though.

Still, looking forward to coming chapters!!

I can't stop thinking about Ashley and the story, even after a weeks not playing it (no updates yet ).
It deserves all the attention in the world....

Ive read a review here that i can say i suscribe totally, but i dont know if i will be able to make it to chapter 5.

Renders look awesome, the lighting is really good and never too much or too short, or one of those that go full on subsurface scattering stuff.
Characters look good visually, posing maybe goes a little too far with back arching, cringy and puts me off a little, BUT:

Even though characters are interesting, story develops just slow and nothing happens, just teasing and perving everything so i cant take any attempt at a relationship seriously when the MC is a horny clown.

And then chapter 3 happens and the clown decides to put a blanquet on a girl to cover her Jeans so he dont cover her tits and perv on the girl?
If that girl is your love interest theres defintley something wrong with your head.

Why not just cover her a take the oportunity to create some intimacy and conection between the two? So you can make a joke about the mc being a horrible human being with 0 gratitude or empathy?
Its not like the pace is bad, its the fact that at the star of chapter 4 theres nothing more than small hints to what the game wants and where is gonna go.

for instance the sex part that doesnt exist for half of the game at least, in my playthrough i counted 2 tits that you get to see perving, and 1 tit that you get to see because some rapist show it to you (nice message to teach your kids) And you get to see the same penis 2 times.

Maybe its a good game when it has 12 episodes, and some payoff exists, cause right now at chapter 4 most of relationships havent moved much and still new characters are being introduced.

If something happens to change this, i fear its gonna be one of those rushed 180s that some games pull when they run out of ideas and turn into a mindless fuckfest.

Pretty good game, too early to say with such little content or development in the story.
Mostly dialogue with little development but I found myself not being overly bothered by it since it's quite well written, witty and humorous at times.
Most characters feel like they have some personality unlike alot of other games on this site raghter then every female character just being a potential bang.
Though the choices through the game sofar feel like they doesn't matter much atall with afew obvious exceptions and that's somewhat of a bummer.

Think this could turn into a great game, will be back once it's completed!

It's a slowpaced (longer the wait, bigger satisfaction) type of game with drama elements . Beautiful renders and animations, rich character design, absorbing story. Very nice piece of adult game library. It's one of those games that is a must try and see for yourself.

This is an excellent game where the MILF landlady is actually the landlady and the roommates are actually the roommates! I didn't think they made such games anymore.

The story is interesting, the women pretty and the sex scenes spice things up. The game updates every 2-3 months or so.

So far so good, I never give 1 star or 5 stars to unfinished games so don't take it personally dev.

I honestly like this game, although there is a lack of porn in it, imagine I came for the porn I stayed for the plot and teasing .

you can see the quality, episode one was a ok but by episode 5 you could clearly notice the render quality being really great.

Unique so far, I have played quite a few, although it feels like you general landlady and housemates kind of story but at least it has an unique spin on it. The dialog in general ok, there were times when it was a bit cringe but dev seems to be aware of that as Emily tells the MC that quite a few times, some other parts were funny, I rarely find myself smiling when I read VNs but this one had a few funny dialogues in it.

Well so far so good, I knew Samantha looked familiar from somewhere, I will not spoil it nice one dev, the only issue I have is with Ashley, the rest are ok, but Ashley feels shallow it is maybe my thot sensors being triggered, probably she will have a back story at some point. The MC is way to good with his speeches considering his time in juvie ) what the hell did he read in there, all Sanda Brown novels ) (my sister loved those books)

There is a lack of action so far, but to be honest it is ok, actually some of them felt forced, probably a dream scene would have given the players some fap materiel, but it is what it is.

All in all a good game, There are still 2 rooms free in the basement dev fill them up

This is a unique game for me. Story is really something else than I have seen before. Renders are beautiful and girls are hot. Writing is good I am so into this game via conversations. Lewd scenes are pretty sexy.

Story telling part is great been following the game since ep1 . Renders are nice but animations are short , longer animations would be a great addition to the game. Game has typical vn style no need to bang your head and pointless clicks . Overall the game provides a good experience and story telling is nice.

Great surprise! Interesting and different story, not obvious, with all characters having an unique personality and motivation. You don't play just for the sex scenes, but also because you want to know the story ahead

You know when some games end and you feel sad when it ends, I mean not about completion but I can't get mroe of it because it's incomplete. This game reminds me TV-Series, that you get attracted gradually and when it ends, it destroys you and gives a hole in your chest. I hope story continues much more.
