Tbh something I think gets kinda ignored is the map design, and I reckon it's the *maps* that tend to be one of if not a major cause of update lag and quality.

Part of me reckons this might take two updates worth of time with just how much surface area it seems this will take with Mango and Mordecai having their own areas.

But that's just a shot in the dark from something I might just be sniffing the conspiracy glue on. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"End of August, and if not, either first of the month or the day after." Also I think doggie himself had said "aiming to get the update out by end of august" and that was after a few months of not hearing anything. So unless the update did actually get pushed back, I'll stay cautiously optimistic.

I say 12. Two for the rat (getting defeated for the male MC and another for the girl because of it's trap nature), four for each of the two new characters (getting H-attacked and defeated for the male and the same for the girl for each character) for a total of eight and two in the bar when you save the 3 civilians (one version for each MC).

Yeah, I understand people getting hyped but goodness 20 animations is wishful thinking. If you count stuff like the bar workers/potentially civilians, maybe, but those are single-animation loops with no GO scene (in other words maybe 1/3 of the quality of a normal enemy animation).
