I do think it's funny how it always feels like the same, imma change engines real quick. Everything goes off rails. When it comes to furry games.

Or they just want excuses for their laziness, you don't actively change your engines just because you "feel" like it, you're just doing it to make up excuses on why you can't add new content, otherwise why do you change shit when it still works?

You can very much tell that even on their tightly controlled spaces that sentiment has soured. The thing is that doggie almost never speaks directly, he launders basically everything through intermediaries so that he doesn't ever have to directly answer criticism. He essentially uses other people to take the heat. Even among h-devs he's a special level of coward. That's known too, btw, there are other game creators that know Doggie and have even more negative opinions because doing stuff like this costs them money via the negative connotation it gives other developers in this space. Bad devs hurt good devs.
I suspect Doggie will eventually actually abandon their online identity and resurface with another one and a new project because this one is losing steam and money now. Happy heart doesn't maybe nearly as much money as it did when he was more active in development, but it's very clear that he isn't going to move back to a reasonable schedule so I'd respect maybe after this update or the next for him to formally disappear.
Context: he has not posted a single word on his own discord in 4 months and nothing longer than a sentence in over a year.

Mood. At this point, as much as I want to give my 2 cents, it'll just bloat the thread. Might as well check back in a month or 2 and see if anything's changed.But jokes aside, i barely check on this thread anymore because 90% of the time it's just people arguing over nothing
but if this game does ever geniunely get abandoned besides the ''Abandoned'' tag, then it's actually game over for everyone...
I think a lot of people can agree, that especially for the supporters and for the loyalists who actually continue being subscribed to Doggie Bones even after not receiving any sort of updates or news, are either people from *here* who are very honourable and always share, or people who are loyal but refuse to leak or share OR people who are just straight up idiots
i get and can understand us freebies not getting *any* news, and i'm not on this site nor thread regularly enough to understand the complexity of it, but ZERO communication between your actual money supporters is both just a dick move and very petty
you can only say ''i have health/life issues'' so many times, because my brother in christ you make pornography games and we consume it
if you are suffering so greatly, use the money for therapy or something.

Honestly I think half of the reason we're even here anymore is to vent stress with this thread as a punching bag- I mean do any of us who've been posting for the past 2 weeks actually think an update is coming, really? Or like... that this game is worth it anymore, even? Not all of us anyway.
nah we moved on and are making our own happy heart panic at this point
with ai codeing getting better everyday, which would really help me, I might take a crack at it once we get a big leap in that, I am already looking into a good sprite animator program and honestly I just lack time and energy but have ideas

I'm not gonna hold my breath for y'all making your own game lmao. I mean go ahead! But maybe at that rate just go do your own thing? Rather than digging in the carcass of this one? Make your own project, if you're so fired up about it. Seriously! I encourage you whole heartedly to give it a shot if you think you can.

Would most likely end up like the Captivity clones.
Every single one of them either becoming immediately abandoned, being used as a cow to milk, or in the best case scenario, a cheap copy with barely anything to do.
