If you look at the discord of the dev there are... A lot of unique fetish channels. I was expecting this to happen, it was just a matter of time really. I mean, the game already has diaper stuff in it, just no scat stuff, so it was always going in that direction. Maybe dev will add an option at some point to disable those specific animations from showing up, or maybe make an alternate version that has no scat.

Yes its a perfectly valid defence for someone making a game on donations below minimum wage, but Doggie Bones makes £3,000 a month. He makes enough to survive without a job and pay artists for their work.

It does take time to create a game... so let's look at other games then shall we?

Game developer Fuyou has completed 3 games and is working on a 4th.

Game developer Siren's Domain has made 4 games and 2 have been completed.

Game developer Pink Tea Games has completed 8 games.

Golden boy started work on NTR Legend, put the project on hold for a year for personal reasons and then finished the project.

A house in the rift was created and has monthly updates that are larger than the ones we see from doggie bones.

Karryn's Prison was both created and finished.

Jikage Rising started, finished its first arc and is close to finishing the second arc.

Crimson Keep has 7 chapters.

Rignetta's Adventure was created and finished.

And these are the games I thought of in 5 minutes. No wonder people think this game is a money-milking scheme.

That's rent in NYC, and you still need a job for food and travel. Remember if they both live in a city cause doggie is living with someone, then they both needs jobs or one has to still work part time for food and stuff. Full time if they hire other people. But I don't know their living situation so I'm not sure if 3k is really enough or more.

But I understand, 5 years it's how long it took for guilty hell to develop. And it was a two man team with some money to pay a voice actor. And guilty hell looks like a triple a h game. So I understand that they could be milking, but I don't know much of their personal life to conclude that 3k is enough so to speak.

I am not in that discord and wasn't the diaper stuff added in the last big update? I don't think the game started out with your character filling their own diaper with excrement. Just because you may find diapers attractive doesn't mean you want the next step to be shitting in them. Sorry, in what universe is it common sense to uproot your entire life, separate yourself from friends and family, your community, your home, and everything you've built, just so you can dedicate more time to a porn game that you release for free?

Not to mention how difficult the pandemic makes it to find anything affordable, more or less completing the necessary logistics to do so when you live somewhere like NY of all places (gross).

Considering they've made it clear that you can cancel and get access for only a dollar, I really think we can ease off the gas on this pain train we've got going, is all. Life sucks man, who knows what they could have going on, and I think they're well within their right to maintain privacy from their audience who are just there for the porn, y'know?

When you start any project that requires public support in donations, you need to be sure you can actually fulfil your promise to those who are choosing to support you. If family and friends are more important than said project then that's fine... But you have a duty to end the project and admit you cannot fulfil it.

Accepting donations for a project you - FOR WHATEVER REASON - cannot complete, is morally abhorrent. And judging by the lack of updates and the size of the updates, we have a right to question the validity of the developer's actions.

This game appears to be an elegant showcase of what happens when you don't have an overall plan or motif for a game.
Various other games genuinely completed have a beginning and an end idea.

Happy Heart Panic, sharing from the last part of it's name and not so much the first- Has no objective beginning, has no objective end, and is seemingly constructed out of very well made animations and overall ideas.
But rather than capitalizing on the basic ideas, having a genuine plan, Doggie Bones is seemingly sitting and staring into the null and void of NYC.

There's definitely heart in the game, and it's definitely got something going for it to be given so much money.
But good lord is a lot of it wasted by lacking general direction and an overall design. Not to mention the more obscure kinks involved in the overall flow.

Not wholly sure what to think of the game. At least the animations that aren't borderline concerning are pretty well-made, and the combat doesn't feel like struggling against God, so hey. You win some, you wait twelve years for nothing.

I believe I'd feel pretty outraged by Doggie Bones if their tier scheme wasn't so cheap, y'know? It's one thing when you start your pricing at $5-10 monthly, but it's a bit different when you can just drop a single dollar, and get access to everything to do with the game.

For what it's worth, patreon takes about 12%, so making around 3680 BEFORE the 25% tax you set aside for the lovely IRS, is equivalent to making a minimum wage in other places, because NYC is NYC. Everyone has different philosophies regarding work, but assuming Doggie also has a full-time job, knowing this I wouldn't be too mad at them if updates slow down, not that I'm following the game, just if I was.

I do think that they make enough that they could do a little more, but not so much more that I would be upset they aren't. It's not like they can lower their prices any further, after all, and they no longer guarantee monthly updates on their page from what it seems.

Also, here's my thoughts on the game, so I'm not being an ole hypocrite lol:

I do love the animations in this game. Makes me wish they'd lean more into the futa/non-con side of things. Though, there are a ton of games that can satisfy that for me, so I understand wanting to give diaper fetishists something other than Trap Quest lol

Combat has been super meh since the first time I played it two years ago or so. I think the age of the platformer-style they've chosen is showing through really hard. The game's combat strikes a weird combo of too easy+bullshit. It feels like you're either smashing through everything, or you keep clipping the hit box and needing to spam struggle out. Levels end up being tedious slogs instead of exciting opportunities to see animations or experience the action part of the game.

Movement is and probably always will be super basic. It shows when the game is made by someone who doesn't necessarily understand what makes platformers and action combat so good, or they understand and simply lack the experience to bring it to life in their engine (which, I think, is the case here.)

Context is super wack, and has been since the start I'd imagine due to the early access. The game currently feels more like a gallery on hard mode than it does a game with context to back up the animations and areas you go to. The story and context is there; it's just so weak it doesn't really matter.

Ultimately, it's aight, but nothing legendary. Many other platformers and action games I can beat off too over this one. I'd give it like 3 nuts out of 5. You'll bust and probably come back to it like once more, then it'll sit there unopened in your porn games folder until you delete it.
