VN - Ren'Py - Hard to Love [v0.28 bugfix2] [Qori Gaming]

I wasn't expecting much from this especially cuz i found it randomly becuz of the modder but man this definitely blew my mind especially the 1st chapter.Now u can clearly see this is a quality project from the rendering & animations (very few) but they do carry a level of polish & finese. Hell just looking at the menu & options with the chibi drawings alone makes u realise the effort put into this
My fav part was the 1st chapter which was really heartwarming indeed i mean we all know such characters never exist in real life but the way their love blossoms kind of makes u wish they did
My main gripe is with the 2nd chapter cuz they introduce your youngest sister who is apparently younger than your daughter but when the daughter looks like a mid school student this 1 looks like college grad & to make things worse the 1st time u meet her in person she literally let's u fondle her boobs (pinch too) just like that.It would've been so much better if she was distant to u at 1st(come on u r a total stranger to her) but slowly change based on your interactions.Thats the fault here there is no character development every family member just wants MC for no apparent reason
The 1st chapter alone wanted me to give this a 5 as it had so much potential but after 2nd Ch I'm a little over the edge so we'll see how the dev decide to move from here on, but do keep an eye on this as it just might surprise u

Very interesting story. Beautiful characters, nice renders, locations are pretty detailed. Hope that I will play the complete version. Extremely eager to see more. A straight 5 stars from me. Fricking hell how much more I gotta write to post this.

Everything in this game is AWESOME!!!!

The models, renders and artwork are all top notch. The women are all of different sizes/shapes, hair colors, and somewhat different temperments.

The rest will probably have to be Spoilers:

The mom french kisses the adult son, after showing off her body and treating him as a surrogate husband while he was a teen. We don't yet know "who" the father of his youngest "sister" is. I'm certainly hoping that it's him.

In the Intro, the sister Amber confesses her love and tries to have sex with the MC. She pulls out his cock, tries to suck it and offers her virginity to him. I'm disappointed that he didn't agree at that time. Perhaps Dev can "adjust" that scene in future updates. It would make the story make far more sense.

It seems that his daughter was largely raised by his family while he was working in another town. Her mom was gone from nearly the time that she was born. So it seems that MC was an absentee father. And now the daughter may see MC as both father AND potential lover. But we have no indication of that so far.

And now we come to Madison, his youngest sister. She CLEARLY wants to make MC her man. But she plays silly games where she pretends that it's all "innocent fun" while she seduces him. She is also in competition with her sister Amber, for perhaps more than 1 thing.

I certainly hope that there is a Harem Option. I could easily write a scrip to make MC less resistant to the women who want him. He could easily supplant his dad and become Lover and Master to ALL of the women in his house. No telling how his police partner (and "current girlfriend?) would adapt to this situation.

The highlight of this game is honestly the very well done art rendering. The colors are extremely vibrant and every character looks alive. I'm not sure what to make of the story yet, since it's fairly short, but it appears to be about a widower who is going to fall in love with one of or all of the members of the family as he processes his grief. It's not that fleshed out yet, really. We'll see how that goes. Definitely worth a play.

incredible writing. Hard to love is has really unique story, with twists and turns, i got instantly get attached to the characters and their relationships. can not wait for the next update of the game, it is a must play.

I gotta say is damn this game looks great! also the story so far is pretty interesting, but the animation and art work is amazing, felt really good reading and interacting with the story and the characters, beautiful design for the lady's as well!

I love this game. The creator manages to hold the tension in a way I've rarely seen a VN and the plot has enough mystery to keep you going. The game drops you in the middle and you get some context through flashbacks, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions which have me very intrigued.

The renders and character designs are also great. Every person looks and feels distinct enough to be memorable but they also have enough similarities to make you believe they are a family. All of them behave like typical porn characters, but they have additional dimensions that make them interesting.

Cannot wait for more. It has huge potential of becoming something great. I love the renders and the story/dialogue. Keep it up!
The recent released build seems stable enough and I haven't been met with bugs, especially showstoppers.

Gfx and anims are good, models are unique. Plus the landlady gets different models - younger and older - to fit the passage of time in the narrative. Which is a nice touch. There are two almost h-scenes in v0.02, didn't do it for me sadly.

Plot's way too stretched thin even in this relatively early stage of dev. Basically you get a flashback of being college age and about to fuck your land-people but then knock up your gff who died in childbirth. Cut to present and you're back home with your land-student, and all of your fuckable/romanceable landpersons living under one roof.

The landpeople genre being what it is, several characters representing "types" based on a streamer-girl aficionado's understanding of women, are packed into a fairly simple "main" plot. And then given "paths" aka badly written reenactments of Gossip Girl scenes corresponding to each type. Asshole cuck daddy is the cherry on top of this cum sundae. Since porno visual novels need to have choices for some reason, we're "free" to accept or reject being attracted to them. But the story only makes sense if we have "relationships" with all of them.

Nothing else to say really. I could list some examples of cringe writing, like 60 years young landlady mouth kissing 40 year old landboy then chastising herself for abusing him. But I won't. Instead I'll just give it 3/5 for the nice gfx and pretty UI design. If you like this sort of thing dl and enjoy.

Great game. Has characters, a plot, tragedy, an injured hero that has lost his wife, a cute understanding daughter, a slutty sister and Mother. In short, all the ingredients of a Hollywood film minus the likeable best friend.

It's one of those games...

Wow. So, so good! Love this!! Caught me by surprise how much I loved playing this! Renders are beautiful! The story so far made me feel things in my heart and not just in my dick-parts (but, also yes, in the dick-parts too!) Keep up the great work! More, more, more!

Story:

From what I've seen is pretty impressive, usually I dislike flashbacks in games because of how poorly done they are. But not here, everything felt natural to me. I like that we play a grown man with a daughter and a sweet backstory. I can't wait for future updates.

Renders:

Beautiful models, they're different and not heavy on the aesthetics. No overly large breasts or asses. Well balanced beauties.

Gameplay:

I thought it was smooth, choices didn't really matter but if you're telling an origin/backstory I expect that. Great UI, music is well selected also.

Feels like the story starting trending downward after the first release, hopefully it picks back up.

Great start! Interesting interface. Haven't seen one like this before. It is easy to navigate. The characters are hot. Very nice to have the path options so accessible. Fingers crossed that every update isn't just a teaser.

Very good! well written with a lot of confidence and with plenty of details that are explicit enough to entice while also being open ended enough to allow for the story to develop as the player chooses. The character designs are unique and each character so far is different while still being attractive. I hope people give it a shot and support the dev because work of this quality doesnt happen without a lot of effort and a lot talent.

Very enjoyable start overall that I played through in one sitting. Can't wait for more. Sure it's a pretty "standard" game, but it's a well made one imo. Also I happen to be a very big fan of games with incest / forbidden love.

A good start indeed. Good models. Story is interesting thinking about past and coming to present. Liked this approach of story telling. Moments with Antonella are absolutely worth it. It got a cinematic feel. Absolutely loved the first half of this version. But afterall this is an incest game. Then it pretty much fallen into usual incest games. Where MC's sister is sexually attracted to him, mom doesn't care about nudes an exhibitionist, and MC had a daughter she reminds him alot of antonella. Now MC also has new sibling she is at same age of MC's daughter. Well we all know what happens next.

Well I'm waiting to find what happened to Antonella. seems like something tragic occurs to them. Is she dead or they broke up ?

Overall it's a good start. liked the way of story telling. Hoping it doesn't become a fast fuck feast and succumb like usual incest games. Looking forward to next updates

Hard to Love - First Release (v0.01 Bugfix)

• The quality of the models and the lighting that goes along with the scene is perfect. The models look good and the framing is phenomenal, using the proper depth of field to focus on certain objects. The angles, really nice transitions from POV to third-person.
• The lighting is not too bright, not too dim, just right.
• The use of the dizziness and need to sleep as a transition to recalling memories is nice. You get to be introduced to the characters early on with the memory sequence and the phone, without it being too difficult to read.
• Music and sound effects are spot on, really evokes emotion from those specific moments.

Overall, a great start. Has really good potential, can't wait to see more of it.
