You forgot the perhaps big part that they also have a dick and the other is a trap. Im aware people keep on changing the definitions of various words these days, but since Im mostly focused on Harem themed and based works I can clearly say a futa chick and a dude looking like a chick is as much harem as romcom where MC gets cucked through the whole story.

Any actual furry anthropomorphic animals, or is it just the neko-style monster girls (zoomorphic humans)? If there are none, even as enemies or background npcs, please remove the furry tag, it causes confusion when misused. You already have the monster girl tag, they are separate tags for a reason.

Yeah, especially since it’s only porn,there is not much to redefine in the first place. The harem genre used to be straightforward, you didn’t need to crack open a dictionary to get what it meant. Now people keep trying to rephrase or reinterpret it to include all sorts of other elements, which kind of goes against what the genre originally stood for and still does. Meanwhile other genres that have been around just as long are still clearly understood, like their definitions were set in stone. Smh.

The harem genre isn’t compatible with things that go against its core setup. Reverse harems, lesbian harems and gay harems exist as separate subgenres, each following the same basic formula - people just seem to forget that when it doesn’t suit their argument.
And for the record, I never brought up historical harems. I’m only talking about fictional genres in games, novels and manga. Older harems (2000–2010) usually had rival characters, but the story made it clear who the focus was on. Nowadays, the lines are blurred and it often feels like those stories exist just to chase shock value or trends.
As for Germany, it’s oddly inconsistent. It turns a blind eye to plenty of things but overreacts to fictional content. It’s a strange kind of hypocrisy.

Honestly I had to crack open the dictionary to see what YOU meant, cuz at this point I just think of a harem as "multiple characters romantically/sexually interested in one character". Without any considerations for genders.
Anyways, I don't particularly agree with your point of view regarding harems, but also out of solidarity (cuz I do get wanting something to stay "true to what it is"/seeing a genre i like and a genre i don't mixed together), I'll get off your back. Plus this whole thing is offtopic anyways
