VN - Ren'Py - Harem Hotel [v0.18.2] [Runey]

This game is amazing I want to play just again and again because even though there are multiple characters you are able to learn about each of them and learn about their background, maybe even develop a connection with them. Somethings I wish is consistency between characters when building all of them up which there is sometimses but also given the plot for that character's development it is difficult which I understand. Also, not sure if there is a main plot storyline that is going on besides romancing the main girls, appears to be in some, and they build around the same theme but not sure if an actual plot is existent in the game. Overall, this game is so fun and you should try it, interesting characters, cute and sexy scenes, and can not wait for v0.17!

Good game, I spent great time. Lin is the way cuttiest, also Maria, Kali, Moon, Felicity and Ema are really nice but the best girl is Hana, she is my favourite. In resume - really nice girls, the story is a bit complicated, but stands for 5 stars at least because of the nice ladies. Thanks @Runey

A classic case of sucessful game that fell into the trap of never-ending.
Models? Beautiful and varied.
Porn? Plentiful.
Progression? Smooth, and with walkthrough mod - navigating content becomes an easy thing.
It is a great game. If you haven't played it - certainly do so, you will enjoy it.

Just don't hope for the conclusion. There will be another side drama story arc. And another. And another one after that. With couple of afterthought ero-scenes peppered in, whenever dev remembers that it's a porn game. The game won't be finalized. It's been in development for years and will remain in development for years.

I played it often over the years, always loving whats been added and i am excited in what will come further down the line. This is some of the best Games out there with so much content even in this early state and you should defo try this out!

There are quite a few porn games but Harem Hotel is more than that. The characters are nicely created, you can tell the developer spent a great deal of time and effort to get them the way they wanted them. The sex scenes are varied and interesting, but where Harem Hotel truly excels is in the story telling.
Each character is well fleshed out with engaging back stories and distinct personalities. The lore is interesting and deep and with the option to skip the more lore-intensive scenes the player can dive as deep into the story as they wish.
Each character's story deals with weighty themes such as loneliness, childhood trauma, belonging, body image and much more, bringing each character even further to life. The game has a depth far beyond simply filler between sex scenes. While the writing for the main character can be a bit ham-handed at times with awkward, stilted dialog during the early stages of the game the main character evolves as well into someone who can be caring, compassionate and understanding.
If a player wants more from their experience than Honey Select sex scenes there are few games better than this.

This is already one of the most popular games on this site so I'll keep this short. Most people will enjoy this game if they like harems. There are plenty of girls with different personalities and looks. There are also slaves in your harem and you can choose to treat them lovingly or as a slave.

The only problem I have with this game is that some events and storylines are boring and skippable. Also sometimes there is an overly serious event that doesn't match the mood of this harem game. For example, one of the girls in your harem becomes depressed and I thought that was strange. I went from fucking a girl in public in one event to dealing with the depressed girl to a cook-off between your maids. Dealing with a depressed girl was a boner-killer and just doesn't match the vibe of the rest of the game.

This is one of the best games with a BDSM theme out there. The world is reasonably fleshed out and the characters come off as having complex emotions and there is areas where things can be immensely expanded on depending on how the patreons want things to go (For example, being able to get the Drow as part of your harem is a personal favorite though not being able to talk with her directly would be a problem).

Harem hotel is excellent. It's a sandbox with a basic gameplay loop that allows the player to take a variety of actions. These actions involve interacting with girls through story events to increase relationship and unlock new sex scenes, upgrading the hotel to increase your income and unlock new sex scenes, and training the girls in their rooms to increase naughty statistics and unlock new sex scenes.

The only con to this game is the initial grind but I believe you can overcome this using cheat mods. The first bit of the game requires you to head into the city and deliver booze in order to have a starting income stream. Once you update the hotel and build the bar, money is no longer an issue and the grind disappears almost entirely. The only grind from that point is to increase sex stats for the girls like submission, sluttiness, lust, etc but that grind comes with high quality sex scenes so it's not really a negative at all at that point.

What makes Harem Hotel so excellent is the character writing. These characters are extremely well developed and have a lot of depth which is revealed the more you get to know them and interact with them. The game treats the girls as actual human beings with real motivations, fears, and interesting back stories, rather than simply sex objects. This has the effect of making any sex scenes much hotter.

To make things even better, each girl has extremely lengthy storylines with a lot of events. Things progress, change, and the girls go through character arcs that are satisfying, and in some cases, quite emotional. I actually felt moved by some storylines and that's really rare for a porn game. I have almost never felt emotionally touched by the character writing in a game like this but Harem Hotel managed it.

Even more impressive, Harem Hotel manages to write a harem situation that actually seems believable within the context of the game. The writing manages to straddle the line of believability with a large number of realistic characters that are conflicted but open to sharing one man. This might also be because it's not a black and white, open and shut issue, there's some conflict over the sharing among the girls, but the fact the game manages to make a harem a realistic situation within the context of the game is extremely impressive.

The sex scenes are fully animated with physics and they look great. The scenes are very nice and better than many, many, many other games. The quality here is top notch.

The girls visual design is exceptional and I think again the quality here is far superior than many other games. There's a wide variety in body shapes and looks from petite to extremely curvy. As someone who is not a fan of the massive, unrealistic melons you sometimes find in porn games, I really appreciate that this game has some girls with more realistic and smaller breasts. But if you're a big tiddy enjoyer, don't fret, because Harem Hotel still has you covered.

There's a city to explore outside of the hotel but it's still under development and there's not that much content in the city at this moment but it's promising and I'm excited to see where things go with further development.

Overall, Harem Hotel is a truly top notch porn game with amazing characters, outstanding visual character design, fully animated sex scenes with physics, a satisfying and rewarding sandbox, and hours upon hours of content already in game and ready to explore. I've played for eight hours and I still haven't finished all of the content Harem Hotel has to offer. Highly recommend.

As the story progresses and spirals more into a dystopian revolution, it is even more interesting than the H-scenes.
Updates are every few months, with lots of content. Old stuff that doesn't hold up get updated.

+ Almost sandbox, but with linear story
+ Easy UI, short conversations
+ Likeable girls with different personalities
+ Lots of unique and repeatable sex scenes with each girl
+ Unique independent stories for every girl

- Its getting dark and depressing towards the end. Some bad shit keeps happening and there is nothing you can do.
- The easiest way to earn decent money is to sell nudes of your girls. I hate it.

Recommended and fap-able.

This is a very long game. It will keep you entertained for so long you'll possibly get sick of it.

7 main characters with numerous events, and background that gets developed as the game progresses. But this oftentimes gets in the way of the good stuff.

It becomes repetitive after a while due to its length.

There is quite a bit of reading so I recommend playing it when you feel patient enough.

This was the very first high quality game I played that really blew me away with its beautiful characters, amazing storytelling, and smooth animation. All the girls are super likable (best girl Kate) and I would recommend this in a heartbeat to anyone on this site looking for a 5/5 game. I will Patiently wait for Future updates.

You can get to really know why the charaters are the way they are.

Decent game initially. Decent-ish scenes, decent character development and world building. The game feels a bit too pretentious at times, a bit preachy especially lately, but otherwise fun and well thought.

The story is starting to feel really cluttered however.

As yes, the defined classic. This is the game on RenPy I do compare others to. It's... I mean, it's a template, it should be perfect in most of aspects. The best H-Scenes on RenPy ever. Quality & beauty are extreme. 5/5.

Some issues I'd cherry-pick out, like, dialogues sometimes may be w a y t o o l o n g and unnecessary, but, yeah... I don't think it's really a con. Also I've cheated in-game currency for no reason.

EXTRAORDINARY AMOUNT OF CONTENT. Give it a try, even if you're not a fan of RenPy stuff. This may & will suprise you.

I didn't finish 0.16.2 version yet. I think I can review it though. Not your typical VN per se. A bit RPGMish sandbox management game made on Renpy. Premise is different. You have to work for the content. You build up your hotel from zero as well as your harem. Lots of navigation (feels like RPGM) so expect a long playthrough if you dedicate yourself to unlock all the content. Make money, and increase your stats with girls and upgrade your hotel to advance their subplots. Simple really. Girls are different and numerous but I think they are all a bit one dimensional and stereotypical (in order to fulfill fantasies). So for me, I can't say it was appealing to finish in one sitting because the lewd content you get is a bit average (pleasing to look at but not fappable hot). I get it that this game can be too demanding for an average AVN enjoyer. That doesn't mean though it is a bad game. It is a good game serving a niche audience.

Great game with possibly the longest playthrough I've done.

Normally I am not the biggest fan of free roams and sandbox game style, unless that is the central theme of the game and everything develops around it. That is the case here.

The amount of diverse LIs with specific side quests is astonishing and certainly the game's selling point.

Big plus for the game is the interesting and freaky theme.

The game does not rule the genre in terms of graphics, but they are good enough to make for a nice playthrough.

If you dislike harem games and especially honey select harem games, this might not be the one for you - but then again what did you expect from the name. If you don't mind that, definitely worth a play.

Best nsfw game I've played yet! Great dialogue, great h-scenes, great characters. I also appreciate Runey's attention to the game-side of the experience. Things are never grindy and it feels fun at all points!
