Last time I played I was really frustrated by the combat. It's a shame because despite my many problems with this game, I can tell a lot of skill and effort went into it, unlike Cloud Meadow where despite the devs having skill (at least on the art-front), they seem to put little effort into the game. Has this game improved much?

I'm enjoying it so far and the Ecup version allowing harem mode is even better

personally i like the combat, its slow early game but after you get used to it and upgrade and unlock some skills the fights end up being a lot quicker, only issue i had was some of the evolved skills being worse than the original, best example was the Halstaurus' healing move which when evolved healed the whole team but only had like 2 uses per fight while original had infinite. they seem to have fixed that though making better skill evolutions and making some of the old ones separate skills

animation takes way more time and effort than just CG and the VAs probably already cost a lot so i doubt they want to spend more to hire an actual animator

Start doing all the other stuff after chapter 1 and I suggest doing the holiday stuff as fast as possible (cheat: setdate x y - x is month, y is day) because something about the christmas one gets bugged when you finish the story

yeah, havent finished the current build but so far only cat and witch ask to be named, the others might be renameable (havent tried) but they no longer ask to be named and just go with the default in the new story

IIRC, you leave haremon you dont want to have at farm to relax/train/gather items/etc.

In or out of combat?

Out of combat:
Go into the menu, go to "Haremon", there go to the page where you can see them lined up (could be the very first page, cant remember) and there you can switch them around. There is a button for it which I forgot right now. I think it is "V" but it should say somerwhere on that page (I think in the bottom). You are always taking the first three from the left with you into the fights.

In combat:
Go to Miscancellous Actions and use Switch or Swap...or whatever its called.

The last update removed that for consistency and ease of programming the game and since there are so many characters I don't mind. I usually went with the default names anyway though.

This version has the cheats enabled so just use the cheat "harem" any time you load a game and you can have as many lovers as are implemented.

VA costing a lot? For one scene it is probably a week worth of work for an unskilled hobbyist. Day or two for a professional. Including all the editing. I can't imagine the rate they would have to ask for to make this expensive
