I'm talking about the wave of "ai cg" games that have been appearing on the site for some time now. It just goes to show how lazy these devs are, creating “easy” games just to make a few bucks on the side.

Especially when they pump out 4 or 5 at the same time of the same game.

Oh yea, nope, I'm not making a game for money. I'm making it because it didn't exist, and I wanted to play it. lol.
I mean, money is important for living and being able to do it, but the goal is/was never money. It is and will always be, "make games that I want to play".

Landscaping the new map and building the environment is ALMOST done. You have a MUCH larger play area in the Unreal version of this game.
Keep in mind, I still haven't done any post processing work. Lighting work. Or finished adding the trees, bushes, rocks, cliffs, etc etc. But this will give you an idea of how the game has evolved. You can see the cabins on the hill to the left. Lots of work still needs to be done up there.

Upgraded a bit since then. We're getting there slowly but surely. House is fully furnished now. I've turned the ugly white farmhands house in the back to a legit small house. Ugly green. Yea, I'm proud of it. It'll be great when it's done.

And it won't kill your system... Since I have static cameras, think old resident evil with stationary cameras, everything not in view of those camera's, get's culled, or hidden, so it's not running on your system. As you move through the different area's, the camera's change, and the objects appear and disappear. Plus with the help of Unreal's Nanite and Lumen systems, it should work just fine on an old PC.

Best part of the game though... Is that you can play the WHOLE game with just your right hand on the mouse. Leaving your other hand COMPLETELY free to do whatever you want.

The OUTSIDE, is not done yet. It will have the same fidelity of the house.
Yes that was a UFO, and yes, you will have some opportunities like that... IF, you're an astute player. It's not going to be easy to find them.

Don't hold me to this... I'm not CERTAIN yet... But since I brought out my old PC while my new GPU is getting RMA'd, I'm thinking about having both PC's running, one being my renderer, and the other being for Unreal. And I'm thinking about continuing this visual novel, and having my older PC render those images all day while I work on the main game in Unreal... Since it's the same writing and dialogue... The only thing I'd have to do is pose characters, and que the renders. Then I work in Unreal the rest of the time.
Eventually, if I meet another cool Unreal Dev who knows his stuff and wants to work on an Adult Game, I could have a second designer so we can move even faster and get more done.

Again, I don't know if I can even handle that much work. But if I can, I'm going to try. The Unreal game will be happening or I'll die trying. The Visual Novel though, does have a possibility of continuing when my GPU gets back from across America.

Running Annika through the Brooks Farm Annika, her hair, and clothing, have not been setup completely. I'm using temp hair too.
The level has ZERO optimization, so EVERYTHING was loaded in while I was running around, giving terrible FPS. This will not be the case when you play the game.
The level is 90% complete, but there is still a lot of polish that needs to be done. Plants need to be added, world needs to be optimized, etc etc. But you can see Annika, with her clothing working (It's separate), completely animated, running through the full world.

Well, I'm good enough to do what I need to do. But I definitely would NOT say I'm good with Unreal. I am above average on level design I'd say. Not a master, but just above average.

No. There was planned stuff but I've since moved the game to Unreal engine and will not be supporting this Visual Novel version anymore. The new Point and Click 3D Realtime version is far better. It has everything the visual novel had planned, and more. If you'd like to follow it's progress, click the Patreon link below.
