Which scene is it?

I've looked at the triggers and it looks like there should be a scene where you visit Stephanie's room after taking a shower but only if you promised to visit her room previously?

That's the one. I'll answer her correctly to visit her room, but the scene gets skipped later on in the chapter. By the time I visit her room she's already mad at me and Kylie.

Lemme check that the triggers are activated, I believe the original developer "disarmed" them for some reason and I re-enabled them in v0.40 but I could have missed some.

Is there a way to change the font? It's been some time since I played the original game but I don't think that's what the font used to look like. It's really hard to read due to the unusual lettering, especially when you're just glancing at the text sometimes. How would I get the original font back?

You are in luck! Precisely at your request, I have whipped up a feature for the preferences menu that allows you to switch between the default font and the new Re-Write font! just paste the folder inside this .zip file into your Heart Problems folder and over-write any files it prompts you to!

This feature will be integrated into v0.50 but if anybody wishes to add it themselves now, find the attachment below!

My bad! I understand the confusion lol, I labelled the 3rd link as STAND ALONE now to let you all know its just the fix on its own, the other two links are just letting you know that those full game download links include the hotfix already!

This is an absolutely fantastic mod for the game! Really brings the characters to life, the original game had pretty dry and short dialogue, so thanks for your efforts.

Though I noticed some inconsistencies, some quite frequent. Like in many places, Kylee calls Davie “my dad” to the MC and the MC calls Amelie by her name. I would also say the MC calling Davie “my dad” to Amelie doesn’t make much sense, but I saw it many times.

Other than these, the dialogues were great. I hope you finish your rewrite till the end of Chapter 9. Also, keep the vibe of Momma Bear Amelie going, it’s really enjoyable seeing her motherly intimacy.

Thank you very much for the feedback! I appreciate it more than you could know! And my inspiration for starting this project was exactly the issue you pointed out, the original dialogue felt flat and very abrupt to the point of feeling a little too robotic!

Ah yes, someone else has mentioned these! I believe this could be a " colloquial " issue on my part! You see the region of the UK I come from we tend to say things like "me dad / my dad" or "me mum / my mum" when referring to our parents lol even when speaking to our siblings about them (so I might say my mum said you need to go do the washing up, to my sister for example).

It's something I will look into changing to escape some confusion but alas its a habit built-in to my own format of speech lol.

I do indeed intend on Re-Writing as many Chapters as the original developer releases! I've been held up lately with work on Chapter 5 but once I get going again it shouldn't take too long! I believe I added a couple of new features to v0.50 too (though I forget off the top of my head what they were XD).

I didn't know that, interesting! I only just recently learned that in Europe (or at least certain parts of it) once people hit a certain age they begin addressing their parents by their first names, because using terms like "Mom" and "Dad" as an adult is considered childish. That blew my mind a little bit. Here in the States it wouldn't matter what age you were, addressing either parent by their first name would be seen as very disrespectful. It's "Mom" or "Dad" for life . Something that really would be viewed as awkward would be if a young man or older boy was still using the term "Mommy" or "Daddy". For girls they can get away with using the term Daddy at any age without really raising any eyebrows lol.

The only time using "my mom/dad" when speaking to a sibling wouldn't sound off is if it was like a step-sibling situation.

I think that's probably just a personal perspective thing. One person might think addressing the mom by her name as if they were lovers is hot. But to others (myself included) breaking away from "Mom/Mommy" would kind of dampen the taboo effect of the kink. I played one incest-themed game where the mom didn't like the MC to call her anything other than "Mom" during sex because she got off on it, and she was pretty adamant about it

I really need to give the game a replay. Especially using the mod. I haven't been as motivated to get back to it because of the dev unfortunately being one of those inconsistent ones. Which is really a shame, because as an ass man I remember this game having some really top-shelf content . That and thinking if anal content was never added to the game it would be an unforgivable crime against humanity!
