Yes, there has been sex ever since the first chapter. You can avoid some scenes with expert planning.
The method is quite elaborate, which is why even I use the walkthrough sometimes LOL.
The challenging choices are meant to mirror Akari’s situation IRL.
I would say it’s expected she falls a few times in a normal playthrough.
Not of her own volition, but because shit hits the fan and there’s only so much you can do as a single girl.
It’s hard taking on one buff UB, let alone two.
That being said, I don’t believe in total doom and gloom, so she can escape her certain situations if the conditions are perfect. I find it quite satisfying when this happens, as I’m in team Akari myself.

On the bright side, the PC version on F95 goes up to v0.41b, which is several hours of content. I hope it’s enough to make a decision on whether to support the game.
It’s only $5 to play the latest version with R18 content. ❤

I’m pretty much as broke as is possible in America, I work on my Dad’s farm in exchange for room, board, and internet (I know, pitiful for an adult, but farmwork is fulfilling and the place will, lord willing, be mine someday in the distant future) but not having a salary means I don’t make money, which means I won’t be able to buy your game (which is why I frequent F95). WARNING: I notice the leak has been compressed to save file space. I don't know what the image and sound quality are like, so I'm worried Akari won't look and sound her best!

Otherwise, with uncapped window sizes, the game would look absurd on portrait orientation displays. (Even AAA games lock window resizing to avoid this.)

If you're looking for to maximize the window instead of full screen, which IMO is a bit niche, that would require unlocking the screen. The problem is some assets stretch past the ends of the drawn screen. Like a character waiting to walk on-screen. On specific displays, this would look extremely weird and I don't want people to see disembodied sprites and whatnot haha. So I capped the window size to fit most popular screen sizes.
Otherwise, with uncapped window sizes, the game would look absurd on portrait orientation displays. (Even AAA games lock window resizing to avoid this.)

Can you consider unlocking the window? Imo, it's up to the player to decide. (I play through parsec often and it doesn't like fullscreen, probably something to do with the fps/Vsync or something).
It has a male lead and a female lead. They both get to make choices. I’d say the male lead is a bit more of the protagonist, but Akari’s legit. Heartsworn Abyss does the dual protagonist thing pretty well, especially considering the genre, in my opinion.
Equal screen time so you can enjoy the NTR from both perspectives. Akari has more lines presently but Rei will catch up soon.
It's actually quite heartbreaking to see the scenes from the Akari's perspective, especially as she's worn down by the bastards.
Doesn't quite live up to the promise of completely avoidable if you need a guide to pull it off... Just saying.
