Hi everyone!

I've been lurking around F95 for a bit and finally decided to join the community. I’m a web developer with a huge interest in Artificial Intelligence, specifically how we can use the latest LLMs (like Llama 3) to create more "human" and unfiltered roleplay experiences.

I'm currently developing my own web platform that combines fast AI chat with real-time image generation. I’m here to learn from the community, see what kind of features people are actually looking for in AI companions, and eventually share my project with you all once I'm allowed to post links.

Looking forward to some great discussions about tech and creative writing!

Welcome and good luck fellow AI dev :). Just personal opinion but I think the AI girl experience could use some strong structure and script, maybe a state machine, some gameable stats that increment when the LLM judges your reply as good enough, pre-written flavor dialogue for the most likely chat path, etc.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the solid advice! I totally agree, the 'blank slate' chat experience can get repetitive once the novelty wears off
I’m actually looking into integrating a state machine for relationship progression (tracking things like trust, affection, or even 'corruption' levels),, using the LLM as a judge to increment these stats is definitely the most organic way to do it compared to old-school keyword triggers
Combining that with specific 'story beats' or pre-written flavor text for key moments is a great way to maintain consistency, which is always the biggest challenge with LLMs. It’s great to see people thinking about the 'gameplay' side of AI companions Thanks for the input!
