Backstory - old laptop was stolen. I didn't back up my games folder, and I keep thinking about a particular game and can't find it/don't know if it's still in development.
Engine - Probably Ren'Py or Unity since those tend to be the majority of games I play
Plot - Male protagonist, sci-fi/alternate universe - MC is teleported to a very similar Earth, no obvious immediate changes. Maybe in an electrical storm or something? There's a mana/ether currency system, and MC generates it somehow making him rich/OP. He has a conversation with a guy smoking a cigarette, maybe tries to pay a prostitute with the mana currency, and someone steals it. There's some sort of an older male mentor who has a daughter (MC may have sexy times with the daughter but I don't remember for sure).
This was probably late 2023 or early to mid 2024, and game was in fairly early development but had a decent amount of content from what I can remember.
The game had (from what I remember) very cool visuals/sfx and an interesting plot. I'd love to replay it, and am hoping it's still in development. Any help would be greatly appreciated
