I downloaded the joiplay application on my phone, but some games do not work..and some do, so what is the solution?

While native core for JoiPlay can not deal with recent version of Ren'Py, in less than 2 seconds Google told me that there's plugins for JoiPlay, and that some of them permit to deal with at least versions up to 7.6.3/8.1.3. And I guess that there's possibly also few plugins for other game engines.
And, of course, if there's no plugin for the version or engine used by the game, then there's still the possibility to not play on a mobile device or to search if there's an Android port for that game.

as well. I.e., assuming that you use Discord will probably get you a more expedited/streamlined answer to your problems. Also, to further add to Anne's point, some recent Ren'PY games on Joipay won't work as the game is using the Python 3 engine.
