Just like with games, as long as you download from official sources, the risks are lower, but there's no 100% guarantee when dealing with software provided by third parties.

Both games are available here and the uploaders always verify the files, but something might slip through the checks, so always use some extra protection.
Safest: click on the links to the game page directly and download from there. Usually itch.io, patreon, subscribestar, etc.
Safe: downloads from the main page directly.
Less Safe: Download the files given by users in the threads.
Viruscity: Click on and download any programs from the ads that pop up during the attempts to download from the 2nd or 3rd options. If you are not downloading a file that is literally called game-version.zip or something similar it's not what you want.
But around these parts that's the price of doing business. Who hasn't gotten a cybernetic std when sleeping around game pages.
