This game has been around for a couple of decades at this point. The development pace is very slow and if i understand correctly, all the devs are volunteers who don't make any money off the game so it's a side project labor-of-love kind of thnig. Unsarcastically I recommend checking in only once per year or so.

Follow the quest lines for members with an exclamation mark in their name. I think there's a guide in the initial post if you get stuck. One of the menus ingame also has hints on how to progress.
Otherwise you can corrupt them the same as everyone else, by using hypnosis, drugs, or just seducing them.

Practice, I think. IIRC successfully hypnotizing people will increase the hypnosis skill level. Not entirely sure though.

You are right. I always spend some time with trying to hypnotize different people at secluded spots, and that is increasing MC's skill until it nearly never fails.

At the same time you could also go through your student list and choose either low willpower students (easier to hypnotize) or low corruption students (to efficiently increase corruption in the school).

mainly practice, success is good for leveling it up faster so one thing I had been told to do and tried a little bit is sleep in the afternoon and then try to hyponitze people who are out at the normal bedtime and ask them to take you to their home / bedroom. They tend to immediately go to sleep and then you can hypnotize them more as well as their whole family as being asleep is a debuff to resistance.

A new one update is currently being tested for balancing, but it will come out sooner or later. The main issue was that Barteke had life happen and he's the current one who releases and checks everything before the release.
