I'm just trying to get this game to work at all, as provided by the download here it blackscreens if you attempt to start a new game, load, or play a cutscene.

Edit: It works with locale emulator running it in Japanese, OP may want to update the installation instructions to include this.

I'm having a small issue. I am able to open the game but when I do anything on the main menu it turns black any help

you downloaded wrong game (mega has wrong link)
anyway here's fix (put "index" inside your game folder)

I did this and put the index file in game folder but it still shows the same problem

just download "locale emulator" and run game in Japanese

Just download the game from the first post and then download uncensored_scat.zip from the patch post, extract the uncensored_scat.zip in the game folder and replace if it asks
