But also pixel games aren't a day to day occurrence like VNs and RPGs, quite hard to critic someone's cooking when the other option is hunger

I hope you're gonna stick with a male protagonist, it certainly sounds interesting and if you were to actually go through with it it would most likely turn out to be something that's pretty unique, but i firmly believe that female protagonists don't fit in your games all that much.
I'm not pretending to be an expert when it comes to adult games, mainly because i'm extremely picky when it comes to artstyle so i haven't really played all that much, but from my personal experiece, i don't think a game with a female lead can ever match the corruption/NTR that male protag games have, especially when the game is as slow paced as HC3.
I think female protagonists only work in games where the story is only secondary to the sex scenes and where the player has complete freedom over mostly everything, like the ONEONE1 games (Samurai Vandalism) where you can just walk up to anyone and ask them to have sex with you. It might sound a bit odd but whenever i'm playing a game with a female lead i always feel like i have too much control over things, which is definitely not a bad thing, Samurai Vandalism is a good example of that, but it's not something you would want your players to have in an NTR game like yours (that is, if you want your female protag game to have NTR in it, obviously).
There is also the question of Partial POV and freeroam events, both of which is loved by many people but is something that i don't see working in a game where you're controlling the person who's supposed to be IN the freeroam event.
I remember you saying once that you want to make another game like Merry H-mas in the future, where the game is just a short story instead of a several year commitment, if you're REALLY thinking about making a female protag game then i would definitely recommend making a shorter game like that out of it. Experimenting is fine but this would be such a leap from what we have now that if you were to start a project that you're gonna develop for several years to come, you might overall lose more people than gain from it.

Here's my counter to Oriandu's idea.
Still a male protagonist, but just like how you can pass the time by going to your bed, you have the option to switch characters.
A few Updates ago there was this short part of a quest where we were controlling Rose, i believe all we had to do was walk from her room to the Duke's room or something but that's when i first thought about this feature and how cool it would be.
My idea of this is that in-between quests when you're on the hunt for freeroam events, when you go to your bed to choose a different day, instead of choosing which day you want to wake up on, you can choose to wake up as Rose for example, obviously Rose's bed would work the same way, you could either wake up as Leto, or you could simply switch to a different day.
As for what you could DO as Rose or any other girl you wake up as, is that you could trigger the freeroam events yourself, for example the fan favourite Peacekeeper tower freeroam that was just added, if you go there as Rose on the correct day, the same heart icon that you're already using to signal that there is something happening will be on the ground that you can interact with, after that the Duke appears suddenly and BOOM, you've got yourself a freeroam event that you triggered yourself.
You could even add freeroam events that could only be triggered while you're playing as one of the girls, you could add Quests that could only be started by certain characters, i feel like i could name a 100 other things that could be done with this feature but i'm pretty sure everyone gets what i'm saying so i'll stop. xd

A kinetic novel is a VN in which you don't interact with the story. By pure virtue of the fact that you actually physically move your character around to find events, talk to characters, and make decisions that determine your ending, HC3 is not a kinetic novel. Hell, it's not even a visual novel. You do not know what a kinetic novel is if you think HC3 is one.
As for the hours... I can't comment on HC3 because I didn't pay attention to the in game clock, but HC3's clock seems to move at a much, much higher rate than reality. My in game clock says 55 hours and while I do have a tendency to leave the game sitting open for hours at a time, it's definitely not 55. I'd say my actual play time is closer to five hours.
Third, it doesn't matter if it's a porno or not. HC3 focuses heavily on plot and character interaction. To suggest you skip the corruption, which is what makes these games good, is ridiculous.

I think you might want to re-read that, because they were talking about female antagonists (and F/F NTR) which is a very different topic from the question between a male or female player character.
That being said, I do really like your suggestion of character swapping as a potential feature in the future! I remember a game called President Yukino doing that, which seemed like it had so much potential for interesting things but then never really gave it enough content to make exploration as the male character feel worthwhile. I would really enjoy seeing a game do more with a gameplay concept like that, especially with a clearer focus on story because President Yukino was written to be more lighthearted and silly.

As someone who plays almost exclusively female protagonist games I agree with you, A Female protagonist game will go crazy and will most likely be N_taii's most popular game by FAR but they will never work with the slow paced linear story, the most important part about FMC is being in control of the story and having your choices reflect on FMC's character, that will make all difference in the world.
When I think about a FMC game made by N_taii I can't help to think of "Violated Heroine" I feel like he will definitely be able to make a similar masterpiece, or that game where you fuck the pigs "Acer" or "Asher" something like that, can't remember.
Imagine a Alansya Chronicles: Fleeting Iris mixed with Violated heroine, that's exactly the game that will come out of N_taii's hands.

I don't think a female protagonist would make HC4 popular. If anything I think it would kill the appeal. What's going to be the focus? The female protagonist being corrupted or her being cucked? The former has been done to death and the latter has been done and has failed to attract an audience on a pretty consistent basis. HC already brings in a pretty high amount of money compared to the overwhelming majority of patreon projects. I don't know if rocking the boat is the right approach.

I think a female protag for HC4 will work great if properly implemented (Tho I hope not to be called HC4, maybe start a new series that will be it own thing) The female protagonist being corrupted is done so much becuase it works so well and can be done in many different ways.
We really need at least 1 NTR pixel'd game with a female protagonist.
As NTR pixel'd games with a male protagonist we have:
NTRPG series, Spiral Legend series(I think this one inspired N_taii a lot), D.P, Nettle pain, Black Fetal movement, 3 Henteria Chronicles and Nettle tribe coming soon.
It might be time to try something different.
Now if I think about it, HC2 would have been a lot more better with Aywin as protagonist, Even tho the game was long I never really cared for any of the characters (Hell, in the end when they broke I kinda start to hate them) Now Imagine that story from Aywin's point of view, you either let yourself fucked by the man that killed your husband or your daughter gets it (and based on your choices, both) and you also have a deeper connection with the women of the village, making their downfall a lot better.
