In short - do you simply want to fap? Like doll faces? Then let's go, download it now. Are you looking for a coherent story with character progression? Nope, move on. It's by no means bad, but seldom manages to impress with what it tries to do. When it does, there's too little of it.

STORY
You’re a successful writer buying a new house in need of tenants. Put out an ad and three teen women come to live with you. They can’t pay you rent, but that’s okay. They are in need of help, so you help them. The girls like you when you suck up to them, so they all want to fuck you.

That is the literal synopsis of the 4-hour gameplay this game gave me. The game could have given you that and just presented sex scene after sex scene. Instead, it tries to mix oversharing segways with standard sex scenes. It’s not a good look for story lovers.

Basically, this plot is nonsensical. That’s okay if it was written with tongue-in-cheek mentality. But too often, this game goes into setting up long situations that could have been six pieces of text. First it’s a story game, then it’s a sex spree, trying to churn story in that doesn’t need to be there. It’s held back by it’s ambiguity.

There is little difference between the different women aside from appearance. Instead of doubling down on variety in appearance, the story attempts to give the girls ‘personality’ we don’t care about for choices that don’t matter. The developer is definitely trying, but putting energy into things that conflict each other. The game would have benefitted from either a deeper story or keeping things shallow and silly.

Aside from the three housewaifu’s there are a few other interests to pursue - personally I actually thought those were more fun, but only Elizabeth - your boss - stands out in personality. That said, she switches from dominant to submissive in a situation where she should be the dominant party - and that just goes to show the story isn’t taking itself seriously.

However, there is a second dialog path where you hold off all the girls and something interesting happens. That is EXACTLY when the story gets twisted because it says so much about these girls that isn’t explained in the regular storylines. Alas, it ends with no further explanation. Missed opportunity. In all honesty I think the dev can do better, but played safe.

A redeeming quality is also the most disturbing - suppose you believe the theory that Guest, Friend and Landlord mean other… family-oriented terms, the girls could be your offspring and well.. We’ll know what happens with Guest #1 in the end. I don’t think I should be talking about that possibility, but just know you can fantasize about it like a Close Friend.

If you like sex scenes after each other and little story in between, feel free to check this as you will love it. If story matters, you can find better options to play. You are not a landlord, you are a guinea pig preyed on by three teenagers who find out fucking their victim is more fun than abusing him.

PRESENTATION
If a doll's looks is your thing, this style is for you. The developer has upgraded a lot of shots, trying to give the women extra angles, shots and animations. All three primary women look about the same - hint - and there’s clear distinctions for the other women. That said, sometimes it does look a bit cartoony or old school. I didn’t mind, but since there’s an incoherent story, the graphics matter far more.

There might be different opinions on the faces. Many renders are above average, but some aren’t up to par. People might dislike it, I didn’t have much issue with it. I liked how most of the characters looked and while the animations are short, they often look above average to me. I don’t care much for animations, so I’m not the person to ask. One thing to know - each woman is a squirter in this story. I guess because it’s an easy visual way to show a woman has climaxed.

Now sound - it’s a big help to have the hint system be in sound. You hear a chime when you do something the girls wants and a ‘screech’ if you don’t do something they want. That helps. Usually I’ll turn the sound off when one of the girls starts moaning because it’s too repetitive to be enjoyable for me. The added bonuses of clicking heels, kitchen sounds and more is very welcome and helps the immersion

If you’re playing this to fap, you’re in for enough content. It’s one girl, two girls, all the girls, your boss, her assistant, shopkeepers.. enjoy. It’s not just harem, but foursome as well. More than enough scenes to shake a leg at, if you go looking for them.

GAMEPLAY
So there really isn’t much here - but I do like the little jokes the dev places with the dialog options. Aside from the obvious fart jokes, I often wanted to be not be available to my Guests sometimes. That never ended well, but at the very least it let me - so points for that.

Outfits on the girls were often hit, but sometimes miss. The sexier and dress-up ones work, but for the most part you’ll be either seeing the girls fully clothed or naked. Some of the girls had gorgeous details on that you rarely got to see. Missed opportunity, but when you’re looking for sex you’re not worried about details.

OVERALL
Her Heart’s Desire is truly a mixed bag. While offering more than a few characters as sex partners, the game’s narrative doesn’t help elevate those encounters. It tries to explain stuff we don’t care about enough and isn’t silly enough to be a funny sex game. There is some variety to be found in incidental sex partners - but not nearly enough to call this a diverse experience. It’s teenagers preying on you and they love it if you prey on them.

The occasional side story made this bearable enough for me - along with the bad ending and the family-oriented that got me thinking this game might be more sinister than I had originally thought it was going to be...

What a hot game! I decided to spend some precious fap-time on this game based on the models and the tags. I am so happy I did that!
Because the experience exceeded by far my expectations.
1. Hottest models of all types! Not only the LI's, but the occasional NPC's were superhot!
2. Explicit animations of pretty good quality. No need of guessing what's going on - the penetrations are in your face!
3. Abundant lewd content per Mb.

The story is simple yet good enough. It's a porn game - no pretentious writing required. And thx the dev for avoiding the "Engrish" so widely spread over most porn games.
All in all the dev did an excellent job - thx a bunch!

Its a bit weird and everything feels very rush, day one meet girl evening fuck her, a day or two later meet two new girls which also trows them selfs at MC, theres just no real story and its more like a fuckfest even though you could say no to someone.

Which leads to choices, when you say no to anal MC will still fuck them in the ass at some point, girls get pregnant but there is no pregnancy stuff in game, so everything feels so rushed including endings that feels like they just stop out of no where and leaves you with the feeling of not being finished no matter if its harem or not.

The game pushes lesbian and anal stuff hard and trying to stop it will always be the worng choice for some reason, like MCs daughter if you want to call her that gets a waiter for MC to anal fuck in the bathroom, saying no is again the "worng" choice.....

All the girls feel like whores and it goes without saying not a single virgin in the mix either, i guess game is to short to worry about having a virgin scene, it just feels meh, maybe the true story is MC hired some whores to play family for a bit i dunno.

The girls do look nice atleast and they have some good builds in my eyes.

Best part of the game is that it has some decent animations and renders are fine as well.

Music is a bit standard but game isent long enough that it really matters.

To me story really has to be better then this one, if i just wanted a fast fap to some anime or hentai i could just visit a porn site instend.

The story is okay but almost completely ignored, although it should be called big dicks anal sex adventure because that seems to be the main focus, the actual story is just set dressing for anal sex. That really isn't a problem as I enjoy a good ass pounding, but if all you did was skip to each sex scene you would not miss a thing. Overall it could have been a set of CG's and not a VN.

if you don't mind that the mc is not the actual protagonist in this game then it's at least decent. it has a good amount of content, the renders are okay and some scenes were pretty hot. if you are into some lesbian action you will find it here.

This is not for fans of the slow burn. But if you want three pretty young not-daughters falling over themselves and each other for you, then it's good for instant gratification. The set up is bizarrely casual. Everyone is obsessed with flossing, and whisky. There's no tension, but so what? It's an uncomplicated fantasy for uncomplicated fantasists. The h-scene talk presses all the buttons. And it looks the part.

I don't really know what I expected, and that's good because I'm not really sure about what I got.


Firstly, the story...

Well, you play the most naively stupid guy on Earth, there isn't really another way to present it.
MC is a supposed successful writer who already had several hit. He's successful enough to secure an advance that, I quote the game, "allowed you to afford to buy this beautiful house". But, while the house is his, and he could afford to buy it thanks to the advance for his future book, he'll also have to rent the unoccupied bedrooms in the house, in order to help him pay the mortgage.
Yes, you read correctly, the first thing the MC did after he bought the house, thanks to he lot of money he had and that prevented him to take a loan, was to mortgage the house... Why, we don't know. And where all the money he got from the previous books goes, we don't know either.

Then the magic happen. The first tenant present herself. She's an orphan who don't know her father, but she's probably MC's daughter. Before the end of the day she'll definitively be MC's daughter.
And it's not because she'll pass the day being aggressively seductive, that he'll change his mind. Nor is it the fact that she'll end the day sucking his dick, or the fact that they'll fuck the day after. She's MC's unknown daughter, period. And he'll happily fuck her anytime he can, period.

Then the magic happen for the second time. The next day, the second tenants present themselves. It's two girls, and they the sisters of MC's new found daughter. Yeah, she could have said that she had sisters, but what for ? Better leave the surprise, right ? And obviously, they both are almost as aggressively seductive than the daughter.
Two days, and three girls who never met him before, but are ready to have daily sex with him ; one being an unknown daughter that appear from nowhere. At this time, every normally constituted man would be 100% suspicious ; "I"m a successful writer, I'm expected to be rich, and those girls are just scamming me". But not this man. This man is happy to have discovered a daughter he can have sex with, and that have a sister and a friend who apparently also want to have sex with him. Be noted that quickly the girls will be more interested by other girls than by MC himself. Not that I care, the MC should, since this make even more obvious the fact that they are leading him by the dick.

Then the magic happen for the third time. While MC go dinning in a restaurant, the daughter start to talk about sex with the waitress, anal sex to be precise. And guess what, she arrange a meeting between the said waitress and her father, for him to fuck her ass in the restroom, while she wait for their food to be served. And obviously, the waitress is happy to agree ; not a single second she's hesitating or shocked by the discussion or the offer.
And I can go on again and again, as you surely understood now, the story is thinner than cigarette paper. But at least the writing isn't too bad. Naive and weak, but not as bad as the story make expect. There's way too inner thoughts, and the girl's personality is as thin as the story, but there's worse, way worse, writing than this.


As for the game play, there's not much to say.

You'll be presented choices, and you've the pick the one that is neither a jerk move, nor a rejection. Do this and you'll always have maxed points ; not that it really matter much to have maxed points. No need to think, no need to care about what the girls say, you can't pick the wrong choice unless you really want it.

As example, when a girl tell you that she are looking forward to pass time with you, what would be your answer ?
a) "I'd rather masturbate with sandpaper, honestly."
b) "Quality time with you sounds perfect."
Yes, this come from the game... And all globally choices looks this.

So, yeah, not only you can't pick the wrong choice, but also the said choices are mostly useless.
The only time it really count is when you're alone and have to decide if you want to have sex with a girl that isn't one of your new daughters. There's the scene with the waitress at the end, but well, when you reach this point you should have already understood that your dick isn't yours anymore, and that only your daughter can decide what you do with it.


Rest the graphics...

What can I say about them ? They are a bit above what is the actual average, but definitively pulled down by the too many horrible facial expression. Too often you're facing a 70yo woman who abused facelifts and injections. There really a lack of works on this parts, including the models themselves, who mostly all looks the same and are clearly out of the box.
And there's those awful times where the girls are french kissing the air... Who still believe this looks good ? And I don't talk about the kisses where we just see MC's tongue. This tongue coming from nowhere is a real turn off.

As for the animation, whatever if they are pure animation or movies, they are smooth, but also as generic as the poses and models ; there's not much natural in them. Plus, turning all the animation into movies is relatively useless since you'll have exactly the same short loop of a dozen frames.
The change to movies was an occasion to go further, the occasion was missed.


In the end, two stars. Mostly because it can serve as pure fapable game when you really have nothing better. After all, like others said, 80's/90's porn movies weren't better, but alas also not worse.

I can see that the dev is putting work into this game, it's not for lack of trying. Models and renders are ok, and I do think sprucing up the animations as planned will make things look pretty spiffy. BUT! The writing leaves a good amount to be desired. Now, lets acknowledged why we're here, watching characters go at it. However, there needs to be something else in this particular medium to hold it all together. The story here is pretty thin, to almost none exsistance.. The MC finding out about his "house guests" seems almost a throw away, and everyone is ready to cuddle puddle right out the gate. I found myself hitting auto/skip transitions from scene to scene, and that isn't good.

I think its a solid effort that needs a punch up in the story department. I'd like to see what the dev does next as far as projects after this.

this game is good but not extra good. for me it seems some strange transitions in views with differnces from one scene to another. the story needs to be completed or re-written in part. Today, i download version 0.22 after 0.21 and I finish exactly at the same point (with tricia) than 0.20 version. Normal ?? Why to have update but to block at the same point ?

This VN gets a bad rap for no good reason. On a porn forum looking for games to fap to this is a pretty good one and the fetishes one has are possible with a number of female characters. It could be better storywise and image wise but it's good enough for passing time.

This gets a 2 simply because the visuals are pretty decent, good job on rendering them. But the narrative killed this for me. It lacks any real depth of personality beyond a single minded concept that saturates all the dialogue. The girls need a heavy overhaul so they don't come across as being the same person in different bodies. The choices in dialogue are so completely skewed, it's only black and white, game over or get on with it.

Figured I would try this game again after not playing since the 3rd update and well....

It's not got any better and if you don't want to follow the devs narrative and refuse certain actions or girls then your forced into a game over!!

Pretty pointless in even making this a VN and you should have just made it a kinetic novel if you want people to follow the story your trying to tell dev instead of giving choices that are meaningless time and time again until your forced to restart by a game over and you have to make choices that you don't want as a player, so it has to be good choices to continue even if you don't want certain actions or LI's which you are forced into hence why it should just be a kinetic novel instead.

This game started out good in the first two chapters giving you a feeling like choices mattered and made you fall in love with DAISY (guess that's the only thing I can thank you for in this game dev), that was the only good part until the game took a turn into the mc being turned into a massive simp who has no backbone and is forced to be a cuck by lesbianism.

Such a shame as this game could have had so much more potential for all different kind of players and not just be a one dimensional game.

Really wouldn't recommend this game to anyone and it quickly become one of the most disappointing games on this site for me and sad to see it didn't change and actually got worse than I had hoped, Guess the one 1 star is for the enjoyment I got from the first two chapters of the time I loved daisy's character.

Everything was going well with the story until the bookstore. Error after error. Then no pictures when it was back on track. Then more of the same.
If it wasn't for the long string of error messages, and no images, I would have given this VN 4 stars.
Up until that point it was a good plot.
If that could be fixed, I would give it another try. Until then, I can't honestly give it more than the 3 star rating.

I feel as if there is more to the three main ladies that we have yet to discover as of yet. The first thing that came to mind was succubus, but that is just my over active imagination at this point. LOL.

The renders are great the tenants look really nice, the sex scenes are good, that's been said.

the writing in this one killed the game for me, I should mention that (DD) genre is my favorite genre
and the innocent aspect of the tenants is one of the biggest components for my love of that genre
the dev made a choice to completely get rid of that aspect from his game, leaving me feeling like I'm playing a slut simulator

Wtf did i just play. If you are lookin for some kind of story build up just like the guy below me then you are at the wrong place. I get it you need story development and all but sometimes you need to look at it with different approach, i mean most of the games here trying prior, successful or not in doing so. Going through the gameplay i say it was very much intentional of the dev to adapt this approach. Renders are gorgeous, interactions were arousing to be honest and partner in crime to that was the way dialogues written, animations not so impressive which i feel they should work on. Definitely worth keeping an eye or two.

This is a fap-forward game. There's not much more to it. This review is of the V.0.0.14 version of the game.

I couldn't even play all the way through it. I gave it more time than I wanted to because I hate leaving a game unfinished. I just couldn't do it. The writing is fine, a tad try hard, but fine. The whole premise is just so porny, even for an Adult Visual Novel site. Normally there is a whole will-they-won't-they section where the sexual tension is allowed to build. That is completely absent from this game. The writer's idea of building sexual tension is for the girl to wear revealing clothes and make heaps of inuendos and suggestive gestures. Every girl the MC meets is tripping over his oozing sexual prowess and is helpless to not sleep with him. I had the sound off, but if I had it on I imagine that the music had to have been that base-forward 80's porn music.

The relationship structure is confusing and comical. We all know what landlord means by now, but the girls are coming from an orphanage and there is no incest tag on the game. So every inner monologue doesn't make any sense. "I shouldn't look at her like this, she's my guest!" is pretty much the summary of all conflict in this game, even though the premise of the game makes it pretty much impossible for guests to = family. That all being said, you can redefine the relationships but the girls are coming to the MC to rent a room so he's legitimately a landlord. At worst the MC is an old family friend and there's little taboo about that.

The visuals are average. The girls all have slightly strange faces that make me look at them a little too much in an effort to find out what's wrong with them. The MC is even worse, he is the most boyish-looking mid-40-year-old ever. I'm glad we don't see him much. Their personalities = "sexsexsexsex" for the girls and "I shouldn't want sex from an 18-year-old girl" from the MC. There is no depth at all. There are choices of being nice or be a complete dick, ie "That sounds nice" vs "I'd rather masturbate with sand paper".

If you just want a quick fap, fine. But there are better games. The sex scenes in this are slightly strange and, as I said before, something is just a little off with the girls that draws my attention away. Maybe I'm being harsh and this is meant to be a parody, all I can say for sure is those hours I spent on this game I will never get back.

The music is a dissonant, nonsensical ensemble of different genres spanning a century.

The writing style is so contrived, it fits so poorly to a story this simplistic, it feels like I'm reading the script of an episode of some inane puppet show for children, as if it were written by a horny Chaucer. With words like ardor and unscrutable that's not even a stretch, those are archaic words straight lifted from middle-english poetry. Then you keep repeating them instead of using synonyms as if you were proud to have discovered this strange exotic word, so you take every opportunity to use it, which would explain your reluctance to use normal words like 'excitement' or 'indecipherable' instead...

Then we get to the visuals... There is enough attention to detail that the characters blink and breathe... but then have clothes clip, have the main character stand right in front of a reflective surface without having the character model in the scene, so he's just a ghost, don't have the table set when the dialogue says it's set, and don't have the toilet lid up when someone's puking their guts out hunched over it. Maybe it's just personal preference, but I think wildly inconsistent scene staging ranging from low-effort to exceptional effort is worse than consistently average staging.

All in all this entire thing is so all over the place, elements deserving 1 star and elements deserving 5 stars just average out to 2.5, so I'm giving it a 3, because unlike other games that try to pretend they're more sophisticated than they are actually able to appear, this one is able, it just completely lacks consistency.

I hated this game...but for a very specific reason that may not apply to you, reading this.

The issue at hand: I write professionally as a novelist. Therefore, as I read the premise of this game, I was very excited to give it a shot. However, the grammar and word choice used by the Dev was so poor that it totally ripped me out of any sense of immersion I might have enjoyed. After about a half-hour of excruciatingly painful gameplay, I literally couldn’t take it anymore.

If that’s not a problem for you, you may really enjoy the game. The renders and sex scenes aren’t bad at all (though the plot is flimsier than dollar store toilet paper).

If you’re like me, however...this one isn’t for you.
