they seem to act highly dependant on your current situation. you are unarmed? they throw you a dagger. you are poor? they throw you some money. you are rich? they take some money away.

Do you know how much specifically? Or if corruption may be involved?

Grinded that event past the 15th day with more than 1k gold and they always kept saying to come back later.

no, i'm afraid i don't. they usually help me out. i think i've seen them taking money just once. maybe they only act depending on your first encounter per run? i mean, 1k gold is alot to just carry around. i highy doubt i had that much.

Might be that the encounter breaks after day 15. Tried again and first encounter past it, they gave me a dagger? Was carrying over 1k gold and a weapon, so seems like a bug.

It's a roguelite and porn game at the same time, in every roguelite you start the same: Same beginning dungeon, same enemies, same boss(es), same events on first dungeon/floor/map, but what changes is your character strength, hp, speed, items or so...

Another strategy is simply grind, grind, grind.

been trying to figure that out, but the online save editor doesnt seem to find any values of my character. no fame, no stats, nothing

the savefile is in appdata/roaming/herocorruption2?
the auto-1-LT1.save file?

there are save files under HeroCorruption2-v0.25-win/game/saves
auto-1-LT1.save and "persistent".
i may be wrong, but the auto file may just be your current run. that woud probably mean that persistent stores your global progress. no idea how to view and edit that file though.

i didnt knew about the save folder inside the gamefolder itself, tho i cant open the persistent file atall, but the auto one i can open just fine with online editors.
cheat engine sadly doesnt work on it or i couldnt get it to work

and whenever i do changes within the savefile, they get reverted once i start the game
