No. I'd assume either a corrupted file somewhere in your saved files, or an issue in the current build. For ease of repairs, look for the file tied to the game in your AppData, delete that, and try reinstalling. If the process continues, you either didn't clear out the right file, or you might have to wait for the next release version.
Sorry if this isn't a very good explanation, I'm moderately intoxicated and very tired. Good luck though.
Deleted all files in Appdata/Roaming/renpy and that seems to have fixed the problem for me.

i dont know where you read its a public release. its a regular update for supporters as far as i can tell
The dev usually drops both the Patreon and public versions at the same time.
In this case, based on experience, v1.25 will drop for Patreon subscribers and v1.20 for public consumption.

I never had trouble with Mega.nz, but then, I also renamed it slightly cryptically.

THE FACILITY
- Just like Hero Corruption 1 had Amazons, the Nuns and the Club, HC2 now has its new major event: The Facility.
- The Facility is a dungeon-like structure located in the Deep Forest
- The chance of encountering this event has been drastically increased for this patch
- Venture into the dungeon to obtain unique equipment, different types of loot and lore drops, be aware, as enemies roam all over the place.
- The dungeon and its content are dynamic: Enemies can walk across the map be anywhere at any time.
- Rooms, loot, events, keys, everything changes whenever you enter the dungeo on a new run.
- You can guide yourself inside the dungeon with the help of a minimap located in the upper right corner of the screen
- In addition to showing which rooms you've visited, the minimap will also help you pinpoint an enemiy location as long as they are inside your vision range.
VERONA (Beach)
- Verona is out there on the beach, be careful tho, as you don't want to be stuck with her for too long...

What are you supposed to do in the facility? I found a key in the cleaning cupboard and in one of the three patient rooms but nothing else. Where do you get the bad ending?
Edit: Looking through the rpyc file for the facility shows that there doesn't seem to be an ending to it.

That's because this is the live version, not the final version.
The ending must have been added in version 1.25, the latest release.
