Ren'Py - Hero Party Must Fall [v0.5.6 Test 2] [Nitrolith]

I'd give this a game 5/5.
PLOT: Ahhh yessss... finally, some good effin netori game. This site only has a few kind of games with this genre so im totally down with it.
ART: I'd say im not much of a fan with the latest art, specially with Cecille's sprite. I'm gonna miss that one
MUSIC: It sets a good atmosphere, definitely fits well
GAMEPLAY: I'd say there are some issues with the mechanics but this game is in it's beginning stages so it's understandable

One of the greatest porn games I've played.

Yes it is very erotic and hardcore. Getting these girls to debase themselves is very hot. But that is not what elevates this game, its the writing in between those moments.

It's the first game where I lingered on every word. All the lore is set up to drive the plot. The characters are deep and drive the plot. The eroticism drives the plot. It is a finely tuned machine. I am excited to watch the characters continue their death march into oblivion.

10/10 play it.

This game is so fucking good! I was reluctant to play the game due to the non-generic art style. I got over my reluctance quite quickly once I started playing the game.

The training simulations can get a little boring at times. But, the conversations after the trainings are quite entertaining. Mars comes off as someone who is quite manipulative but we often see him questioning his own actions which fleshes out his character by a huge margin.

I loved the scenes between Mars and Elena. The dev managed to write his character in a way that Mars wanted nothing more than to embrace Elena as his mother but his nature is working on automatic into corrupting. Breaking her character happened abruptly. But, it's like the quote "All it takes is one bad day..." so, I am not going to complain about that.

All the LIs except Vi were written well imo. Vi is considered by Mars as his life-long partner, yet we see her very rarely during the game. I hope she makes appearances during the story.

The music and animations fits the game very well.

The dev seems to have an ending in mind already and we can see signs of it during the game. I have faith in the prospective future ending that the players can guess while playing the game.

The story writing is really good, I hope it, in the end, is a good ending, but so far with the story, I think the dev has the ending planned out and I will wait and see
The art is really nice, and I can see improvement when the plot progress, but not enough to distract me from the story, shake my head.
anyway a good game for anyone who enjoys a hentai game with a story.

A fun, and interesting premise.

The writing can feel ever so slightly abrupt, especially when characters experience a personality break. The main heroine is free of this (very minor) flaw. The Hero's mother is (imho) the most guilty of this; she starts as a caring can-do-no-wrong-mother-figure, and then breaks whole hog into a depraved deviant sex fiend in a single scene. Granted, there was quite a bit of build-up to this, and it IS an enjoyable break to witness, it just feels abrupt. This is probably just a product of not being a fully developed character at the time of writing, and with some proper exploration of her particular kinks/repressed desires this will almost certainly rectify itself.

Art has a stylistic non-standard feel. It's excellent imo; I absolutely adore the style even if it's a wip.

This game is amazing. What stands out the most is its story... It's captivating, its characters are realistic (considering that it's fantasy) and its evolution is progressive. In addition, it has many dialogues that are very well thought out and developed, so empathizing and connecting with its characters is easy and all the text that must be read is pleasant and not torture (as in other games of the genre)

One of the things that surprises me the most is the author's ability to masterfully reflect the game of seduction... Not counting the forced sex scenes (due to the curse) in real life, women really feel attracted to boys like the protagonist (self-centered, funny, dark and daring), and they hate insecure, weak and manipulable boys like the hero... So even if it's just a game, for sexual themes, this applies in real life, especially with young girls who are looking for fun and experimentation...

If you like Netori, it is a must to try it, even if you don't like pixel art... Finally, although the game is not finished, and the mini-games are unimportant and weft weight (up to as of 0.36 date) I think it deserves a 5/5 so far and I'm sure it will be an amazing game once it's finished... 100% Recommended and can't wait for the creator to keep bringing us updates

I must say, the quality of writing in this game is exeptional (especially when compared to 95% of other porn games out there) .

But you must be warned, this is a shinning example of what a corruption story is supposed to be. Such stories are not simply about hammering someone with pleasure until they break but more about the disturbing psychological journey into depravoty of the protagonists. With small imperceptibles steps hidden under an abundance of mental coping and rationalization.

And this game tries to depict such a messed up descent in such vivid details that I can only call it art.

If you are interested in delving into the psyche of some of the most deeply flawed characters I've had the privilege of discovering in my years of reading fictions and watch them struggle to find a solution to their messed up lives only to degrade even more, this game is made for you.

I cant be very objective on the art, I'm a sucker for pixel art and I liked it quite a bit. But, like it or not, we can salute the amount of effort put in the number of different illustrations and the animations.

The music is nice and well chosen. (Only problem is that I will remember this game when I try to play Sdorica again, my mind has been forever tainted)

There are many crashes however, not surprising since it's in development but I personnally could not finish this 0.4 version. (Right at the moment we were about to finally learn something from the protagonist past, speak of an evil clifhanger)

Anyway, I heartily recommend it to anyone who's not afraid to feel a little dirty after the playthrough.

Story is excellent and really got the feeling of netori and domination.
Art is unique and interesting; at first time seeing the thumbnail got me interested and later after playing the game still not disappointed by it.
Music is really good too; really picked the perfect fit for each scenes.
and so far the Experience as of v0.3.6 is wonderful

Mind you, there's a slither of teasing from the dialogue which can make you jealous of other character if you too much into the dialogue, and that one scene.

Disclaimer : This game is the epitome of ball snatching. If you're triggered by NTR , and intense corruption this may not be for you.
I personally, loved it.

The game is well done, the corruption aspects are made into a fun mini-game. The character depth is impressive and all of them are likable.
The scenes are done well and context does a great job of ramping up the lewdness.

This is a solid game. I'm giving it 5 stars despite some small things I dislike or would like to see improved.

I do wish the items / options worked. For some reason I expected you to be able to buy items from the Hellene character that could be used to improve yourself (like stamina) or boost the gain on some gameplay aspects.

More events with Vi would be nice, aside from story scripted ones.

Maybe some Goddess Corruption.

More desires than gripes, really.

Highly recommended, especially if you like to see cocky, insufferable jerks get cucked in every manner of the word.

I've been watching this one for a while. This story is pretty incredible. The storytellers work has a lot of thought put into the construction of event's and it really shows. The main character for example has an interesting story arc that seems to transform him into simultaneously being a villian, victim, and hero. Seriously, nice storytelling. You can tell the author put a lot of thought into this one. Good job.

I absolutely had to drop a review for this game because it completely surprised me.

Based on the thumbnails included for the game I was not convinced I would enjoy it solely based on the artwork. It took me going through multiple other titles until I finally caved and gave this one a shot.

The writing for this is amazing, it hits the perfect balance for the corruption of each of the characters. it plays on the insecurities and the flaws so well and the art grew on me very quickly.

There were moments in this game that I found myself unabashedly cheering in my apartment because of how well this story was written. Exposition is revealed through dialog and it never talks down to you.

I cannot recommend this title enough. I tossed support on patreon and I look forward to every update.

A masterpiece.
I was holding off on playing this one for the longest time cause the plot sounded really good and I wanted it to have more content before I tried it and man was it worth it.
It looks like there's still ways to go before the game is complete but so far it's been nothing but great. Aside from the animations and visuals being great, I think the biggest sell on this game to me is the writing.
The characters are so well fleshed out, every single one of them, the story itself is really great and builds up to keep you engaged wondering what will happen next and the way the Dev has presented the protagonist and his interactions with the other characters so far it seems like the story is going to a very interesting place too. I can't wait to see how this one ends.
EDIT: I forgot to address a rather important part of the "game", the gameplay itself, as of v0.3.6 there is no gameplay whatsoever though idk if thats a good or bad thing cause right now you can just skip stuff and I think that's fine since atleast what's keeping me interested in the game so far isnt the gameplay though I will say that the dev has set themselves up for making what could be a rather fun gameplay experience too

Good Story and Art, all characters are all very likeable except a hero (not mc) but I think it's intentional to make him annoying character to make the game more enjoyable. And with 0.3.6 Update with MILF tag , it's become 10/10 now

Well no point in editing this since this review will be lost here in the back pages.

I had originally given this 5 stars in light of its brilliant writing.

However it's been many patches since then. The author desperately wants to move on to a new work and the writing in this game makes it obivous. The characters with somewhat plausible depth are now caricatures of themselves, the parody has been played straight.

I feel like this is going to be the one score I actually regret. This game is actually quite good, however it suffers from issues that just tank it. For one it is missing a fundamental aspect it's gameplay, the dungeon does not actually exist. And honestly this reminds me a quote about game development "focus on your primary gameplay loop" and another point though this one is my own; anything else should feed back into the primary loop. So what is the primary loop? Idk, seems like it should be corrupting the girls but if so the dungeon has no reason to exist as I can't see how it would feed back into corrupting the girls, if it's dungeon crawling then since it doesn't exist it fails outright. Next is what finally made me quit; Cecille's virginity loss scene and that's because I didn't actually earn it, right before I got it I played her training with no changes from the first curse break. Didn't even get a new bar and the game has a set up for her curse reemerging but I didn't get it and frankly I don't have a clue as to why. If this exists out of order because several updates came with no sex then that's foolish on the dev's part. He has an option, just let us fuck Vi in a repeatable scene or two, it's still terrible but better than having something just appear out of nowhere with references to shit that didn't happen. As a final point, I don't think ren'py is the right engine for this game, I know ren'py is great for how easy it is but you need to think beyond that. Especially when you're trying to do more than be a VN, I know it gets hate but rpgmaker would be better because at least the dungeon could actually exist and it is no worse than ren'py. This could be a fantastic game but I think it has too many issues holding it back for me to recommend it currently.
Edit: The issues such as crashes I experienced were caused by the name change mod, I did not think it would cause such issues and have adjusted the review accordingly.

Very good. I like the art and a fair bit of the writing. I do think certain parts are kind of drawn out, but it certainly wasn't a deal breaker for me. The dungeon stuff doesn't interface well with the rest of the game and I don't really think the fighting is worthwhile or interesting. It might have been better to play it as a turn based thing that gates certain content (but gives you the option to skip).

I would be up for impregnation content with the girls and sissification content with the hero. It feels like it's heading that way and I'm up for it.

A lovingly made game, it teeters that edge between pornography and novel perfectly.

Granted, it may not be to everyone's taste, but as a person that enjoys these genres, this is probably one of the best experiences you can find!

The game has a charming artistic look, one which truly excels in the most intense of scenes. Unfortunately, in the more generic settings, the look can appear simple, close to a decent artist drawing on MS Paint. However, it happens so sparingly that it can be easily ignored

But speaking of intense, sexual scenes, this game has them in spades and lovingly made. The build up is done wonderfully, and even the starting, more simple acts are incredibly hot to watch.

The characters are written incredibly well. Their interactions with each other are so genuine, it sometimes feels surreal that it was written by the same person. The dialogue is witty, charming, and full of personality, each proper to the characters they are representing. The MC suffers no loss either, a fully-fledged character with their hopes and dreams, and regrets and pains. A fantastic troupe of characters that I can't wait to see how the story resolves.

The story itself may start of as a rather generic premise (cuck the hero), but it quickly becomes a complex web of stories revolving around the cast. Their relationship with the main character and each other, and their place in the greater world.

Truly a great game, worth all the praise it gets!

Too unrealistic. Almost every character has excellent dialogue. Too many wise people.

I didin't know if I was reading a masterpiece or playing a porn game.

In real life most people would't be this elocuent and would say some stupid things.

But characters in the game are perceptive, witty, know how to laugh aboit themselves, can take criticism. They are carismatic and wise. There are some more flawes characters but they are still more mature than most people.

So, I believe this game lacks stupid people and stupid comments to be realistic. Right now it's a masterpiece of wise and carismatic characters with good porn.

First game I'm playing with "playing bad guy" route that I really enjoy. It uses 'curse of lust' and 'heroes must remain pure' plot devices instead of overused 'rape her till she loves you'. This gives very smooth flow and also enables a lot of dynamic between characters. Characters are designed well, behind typical trope "mother like - priestess" and "tough fighter" are backstories and personal problems. On top of it there are a lot of CGs and animations (of varied quality if you ask me, but I enjoyed most of them). I really enjoy deconstructing pure hero trope and stealing his harem bit by bit.

My only problem is how weak Hero is. He is the only human capable to destroy demon lord and, of course, he is "may sue" spineless weakling that somehow gets what he wants but, ffs, sometimes writer bashes him too much, just leave it be with his flaccid penis.

Strongly recommend.

Incredible. If you're a fan of netori (getting other women to cheat on their partners WITH you), this is the game for you.

-The art style may seem unappealing at first glance, but it grows on you very quickly.
-The characters each possess their own personalities and quirks, and it's wonderful to see them get corrupted/changed over time.
-The game is currently linear. The grind doesn't seem too bad (although there is a bit, early on), but the most recent updates are basically all story content. You can currently skip the 'dungeon' stuff, which I did, because I don't really feel it adds anything to what I want to get out of the game.

My only criticism is that there isn't more yet.
