Nah bro, no one suffers more than the Hero, with every update he gets more humiliated lmao.
This game started off really promising and erotic. The corruption and the seduction was really good. But then ever since the 2nd phase of cecille's curse it started to go downhill. The progression became super slow and repetitive. No other events were happening. It also started doing a lot of humiliation and abusive play which wasn't enjoyable to watch at all. The weird cow humiliation and lactation stuff was a big turn off. It seems completely meaningless as well when he could just continue with the corruption progress which would have been a lot hotter.
Same with elena later on. There's so much potential there for seduction and corruption with her, especially when he reveals his background. It's like the perfect opportunity for it, but instead it's just a bunch of abuse and humiliation again, shaming her and making her cry. There's no point to it either because it's not changing her in any way, she's just being threatened to do all of it, which is the least erotic thing you could do.

Mars is a cursed existence. At his core he's a genuinely decent person who's been raised by a psychopath to be this uncaring monster. To top it off every single time he tries to do the right thing, at least until later in this story, it ends up blowing up in his face and everything turns out worse. The whole cognitive dissonance between his morals which while he's buried haven't actually disappeared and his actions make him suffer nonstop. Him being held together by thread made from the heroes power as his body tries to tear itself apart is the perfect analogy of his existence. It's like he's been put on this world to cause pain but doing so kills him a little bit inside every time.
As for him vs Erin of course Erin's happier. He's never had any satisfaction in his life until Mars showed him love for the first time. He's a wretched and pathetic character, incapable of even the simplest of success with the entire fate of the world thrust on his shoulders. Mars stealing his role in the story liberates him and Mars making him one of his girls gives him the first piece of unconditional human affection he's ever had that he hasn't been forced to reject.

I remember downloading it, and I couldn't put it down until I finished all the content up to that point. I don't mind the threats and coercion since Mars is meant to be the bad guy stealing away all the heroines, but I feel like this game reaches a point where its hard to see what the right direction is, keeping all the corruption and tropes in mind, while also balancing the writing. Cecille becoming the blacked gal is pretty hot in some cases but its such a damn shame to have her original dynamic with Mars go away, there was a really awesome sweet spot where she began to embrace Mars as being superior while still being a bitch towards him lol.
As for the time skip...not really a fan. It is definitely inspiring how much progress the dev has made, but between some of the CGs looking uncanny, AI, and whatnot, it kind of just turns me off. Also, this isn't a critique at all, but I can't be the only one who hates Mars with horns right? I liked his stereotypical gyaru-oh look with his hair covering a good chunk of his face save for certain shots and scenes, and while I know the in-universe reason is because he didn't let his horns grow to blend in, I thought it was pretty fitting that a half-demon like him wouldn't have horns, can't fit in human society or demon society lol. He just looks uncanny now, but that might be because of the art style change and no longer covering his face. Regardless, I'll be waiting for the game to be completed before I pick it up again, I've played some of the time skip and it doesn't really interest me that much, I loved the tone of this game from the beginning to the end of the 2nd phase, and I know that it was said that post timeskip would be lighter in tone I feel like something is missing. That's just my two cents.
