Firstly I read the rules on several different topics in the forum and did not find anything that could make this post something against the rules.
(Games - General Discussion - Site News & Announcements and more)
I recently discovered this style of games and was completely in love with some. Especially those who demonstrate a more personal way of writing without so many clichés.
I am a semi-professional Portuguese writer.
What do I mean by semi-professional? I have written 5 books of which 2 have been published and had a good sales index for the written dimensions and were well received by local critics. I consider myself semi-professional because I've been in the market for a short time and I do not want to match up to someone who is 10-15 years old writing with such passion.
But why talk so much? After playing the game "The Intoxicating Flavor" I could feel the writer inside the game. It gave me an overwhelming desire to write and I started to write random things in my notebook and I came across a story that I would like to tell.
This is what I miss most in games a story that you can identify beyond the cliché of the boy that all mothers want to have sex with.
Which is kinda weird because I think most people expect these porn cliches, but even then I'd like to try to do something different.
Now some questions:
• Browsing the through forum I found MANY 3D models that I do not see in any game, extremely detailed with very well made textures. I even saw a site called 3D-load where there are MANY things that are not used in games. Why?
• Would there be any demand for a game made primarily by your writing rather than cliches and sex? (With sex of course)
• What do you expect differently in the production of a game?
I'm still in the writting phase and I'd have to learn how to program/create 3D scenes. But I think it would be an interesting experience in my spare time mainly because I would be exploring something new that I discovered and I ended up enjoying it so much.
As it should be noted, English is not my primary language so I make a lot of mistakes. I would hire translators for better optimization.
I'm sorry for making such a long post, but as you might imagine, I really enjoy writing. Thank you!
