Hey everyone, I’m new to visual novels and have only played a handful. Was wondering if someone could recommend me other game creators who make really all around good games like Depraved Awakening and City of Broken Dreamers. Like I said, I haven’t seen many of the hundreds if not thousands of games on here but these 2 games really stand out to me. Great renders, smooth animation, good writing and nice music really make these 2 games feel like I’m watching a movie or something. Anyone else feel the same with other games or studios? Writing is a bit subjective, but as far as production value is concerned, BaDIK by Dr. Pinkcake is the other big game on the same tier as Philly's stuff. There are a few other promising newcomers that has high production value, but they are all in the early stages.
Philly really stands above everyone else when it comes to that cinematic experience though. That movie-like quality is something not too many devs can accomplish.
