Is it a necessary thing (bottom right where the Developing points are) or optional thing (bottom left) to increase the developing points? If optional, just advance the week, those optional things cycle through and if you don't have one of them, just wait till the next game-week to see if there is another thing you can use to boost the developing points.
If necessary, then you might just be out of luck. The only way you can get them (to my knowledge), if you don't have any other knight anywhere on the map, is through Mondstadt and Springvale, once those are colonized.
It is the necessary things but if the mondstad city is 100% colonized will get knights from there right?

You don't need it at 100% for Mondstadt to start getting Knight. Idk how much you need, but it should say when you click on it which under "Possible Heroine"

Also when you get the 2nd Katherine (and upgrade your Mission board thing, which you can do by accessing the bar on the right, then the 4th option from the top) you can get the "Attract" command on any camp/location. Maybe that could help you find a Knight. Not sure which location you would need to use it on though.

are these all the troops that can be obtained in this version?
I went through about 300 turns to get a lot of units without using CE, then used it to increase the number units that were previously only under 15 units for lawachurl (T4) electro, dendro, cryo, geo and nycto

I just noticed you are missing one other unit except the hydro rogue and that is the large nycto slime. You can get it by mating corrupted alice with the small nycto slime.

Edit: These are my units now. I think that's all of them, though it seems weird to me there is no Nycto Specter.

How... exactly does torture work?
I've only found the Dendro Attachment (Don't remember where though). Using that then the Hydra causes a reaction (bloom). But if I do it again.... I start getting a weird chain reaction that I'm not exactly understanding the logic behind. I was able to break Beidou via torture (straight to Nycto vision). But I can't seem to replicate that feat. Any ideas?
So, Torture isn't all that useful due to the fact that its primary purpose is to break girls, and you want them unbroken for as long as possible due to breeding. That said, there is one girl where it becomes mandatory, and that's Lumine.

If you want to break Lumine, you can't just use the altar. You have to torture her repeatedly to get her element to break, then you can corrupt her. If you want her unbroken for the purposes of breeding, then you can ignore the mechanic (for now, we don't know if future NPC's will have similar requirements, such as Archons when we get them.)

In terms of how torture actually functions, you are trying to get elemental reactions. So just switch between hydro and dendro application repeatedly to create blooms so you can break down the character.

I understand the premise, but I'm not understanding the in-practice execution. Hydro + Dendro = bloom. Yes, but if you use it multiple times in a session all of a sudden you start getting other reactions - Swirl, Bloom, maybe even Freeze depending on the character. And I don't understand the logic of why certain elements get applied as a result of previous reactions. I was hoping to use the system to generate the "evil fall" event so I could quickly generate a lot of Nycto characters (Need Nycto Samachurl to fully colonize Mondstadt). But I can't exactly do that if I don't know why doing X leads to Y result.

It's really quite simple. Spam Hydro, Spam dendro. That's literally the only thing you need to do over the course of several days and you will break whoever you want.

The additional elements just sort of...happen, in my experience. But you want those to happen because elemental reactions equal more energy drain. There is a little number in the upper left hand corner, and it goes up every time you do an action. Elemental reactions speed that process up.

So just press the buttons one after the other and presto, broken people. I'm not sure why you would bother with torture for anyone else though, you can just corrupt them by tossing them on the altar in the middle. Some take longer (example, Alice takes forever because she has an effton of elemental health) but they will eventually corrupt. I deliberately made a save file where I corrupted every single character just to see what would happen, and only Lumine actually cares about torture.

That said, if you are dead set on speeding things up, just do as I said and you will break whoever you wish.

The problem isn't breaking them, I can do that easily enough. The issue is I want to go the full from -10 to -50 will to trigger the Evil Fall event. So I can get them the Nycto Element without going through the alter, so I can breed 5 Samachurl Nycto's. Which means I need to trigger a massive elemental reaction... Which I'm not sure how to do? Because I don't understand what triggers the follow up reactions.

...Honestly, based on that description, I think you know more about this system than I do, because I honestly didn't know you could trigger corruption via torture. I'll have to experiment with it more. Maybe you have to stack elements and then trigger the activator? Because I notice that elements glow brighter as you spam them.

I managed to do it once, but I don't remember who it was against. And the systems described in the readme. But... actually doing it when you only have two tools? Seems impractical

Suggestion for 3rd lvl board: enable trading/exchange/convertion of resources.

What's the second level on the mission board supposed to do? I know it unlocks the "attract" button, but that doesn't seem to do anything? Or at least, It didn't do anything visible.

Because if it's supposed to attract wandering armies, I'd have to ask why? It's fairly easy to hunt them down, and they don't spawn if you've already conquered every location they could spawn in.

Man I tried a fight with mona just for the lol with a single Strange Hilichurl unit, when I tried cross the map she was on the way and I could grab her with full life with him, while in other playthroughs I had to fight her 2 or 3 times before rnjesus blessed me.
