RPGM - Completed - Holy Knight Luviria [v1.01] [Daijyobi Institute]

Another game that is 4.5/5 but I rounded up because this is one of the first hentai games I ever downloaded so I have a soft spot for it. It helps that the humor is identical to one of my favorite RPG games.

Pros:

• Dark comedy equivalent to Disgaea if Disgaea was allowed to have porn in it.
• Decent story to go with the dark humor. (The son of the previous demon lord wants nothing to do with his reign and is angry that Daddy is going to revive himself soon so he has this stupid plan of teaming up with the humans to seal him away for good. However, he wants sex and he wants to corrupt the holy knight just because she’s hot and spends the majority of the game trying to corrupt her instead of trying to stop his dad from coming back until the end).
• NPCs have very comical dialogue as events in the story go on. Best area in the game is the town with no women.
• Uncensored hentai scenes.
• Customized gameplay to cater to your playstyle.
• It’s easy to make a busted character if you focus on one stat over balance.
• The front/back row system.
• The Synthesis shop in the game gives you the best equipment.
• Can backtrack to conquered towns for better items.
• Leveling up gives you skill points that increase your stats
• There is a plot twist near the end of the story that makes sense when you do the process of elimination on why a certain character is immune to light magic. This makes her harder to deal with in battle because Luveria cannot harm her unless you have upgraded her sword to use dark magic.
• There’s a final boss and then there is a true final boss afterwards.
• Luveria’s slow burn corruption is way more believable than most games where the goal is to corrupt the main girl. The reason being that she’s so stubborn that it takes more than half the game until she finally succumbs to her lust.

Cons:

• Hentai scenes are obtained after battle meaning exploration isn’t needed.
• Early game is very punishing. The first two bosses are just BS. The first boss is supposed to teach you how to play the game, but it ends up doing too much damage and you don’t have that many healing items at this point. Luveria is the second boss where there’s already a huge gimmick in her fight that if you don’t exploit, you lose.
• Don’t get a full party until near the end of the game.
• Gameplay is confusing when it concerns combos (which is a combination of RNG and actual luck stat).
• If you focus too much on balance, half or your tool kit becomes unusable (three of the four characters don’t have a high magic stat to begin with so their MP based skills are just sitting there).
• The Lost Woods area can kiss my ass.
• A lot of the synthesis items are hard to find because of how it’s hidden in the most obscure, obvious spots in the game. There are so many hidden items in the ice cavern area that the amount of times I had to return to double check if I forgot everything (which I did) annoyed the hell out of me. The first area/final town has all the NPCs tell you about the specific items and where to find them.
• Most of the synthesis items aren’t really usable. You can only equip one of the many that are unique and it's best to just equip an entire set onto a character instead of trying to mix and match.
• Before the true final boss, the game tells you to make a save file because once you beat her, you cannot explore the game and you’re just going to do h-scene after h-scene until the credits roll.

A good Nukige but bad RPG Game
As for the RPG game, it came out very half-baked. There is self-status upgrading, combo system, and equipment crafting. But it's all a system that makes the game look fun on the surface only.
Status upgrades cannot be played in combinations. If you upgrade any line, you must continue playing that line to the max. Because the enemies in each level will be jumpy and difficult. You must use points to focus on adding more to one side or you won't be able to hit. physical or magical This makes it nearly impossible to combine the two.
The combo system should be a special system and help in this game. Actually, it's just random luck as to how many times the skill will double and how often it will pop up according to luck. There are no conditions or strategies at all. Just use your luck.
The main character who plays has very few skills. You have to press the same button throughout the game.
There are many and wide maps. There's a lot to explore, but everything that's available is from the small to the pointless. Not worth it for players to explore completely.
There are many ways to craft secret weapons or Endgame level items. But the battle system is very boring. So there isn't much incentive to want to go back and make those things.
Items that require secret items hidden on each map. Which was difficult, hard to find, and even until the final boss, it was still possible to fight even if you didn't do any special things.
There isn't much to the main story of the game. But the game is made to take longer to play than it should. Going to a new city to fight bosses over and over, and also wasting a lot of time walking the map and leveling up.

About Hentai in the game, Each scene is good. Female characters are voiced in every role. The characters are designed very Ero and thick body.
But anyway, it's a general corruption style, not to the point of being anything new. And Corruption repeatedly spends time with the same heroine.
Even though there are some mixed with other girls. There are no repeated scenes and every one is awesome. But sometimes I feel bored. Because it focuses on corruption, bullying the same heroine throughout the game. And the whole game doesn't play any other issues. It feels like the game is rather long and monotonous.
When one scene enters, it is shown for a very long time. Unfortunately, if this game wasn't made into an RPG but was an ADV instead, it might be better. As for RPG games, it becomes a hindrance to the fun instead.

The good part is, watch a good HCG that has good voice acting that is good enough to carry the whole game. And if you like the art style, it can help motivate you to continue playing until the end.
The RPG side of the game is disappointing.
It's like the artist is trying to raise the level of his CG Illustrations work to go even further. But still didn't do the game part well enough. It's just at a level that can be called just a game.
But maybe it was because at that time it was still the first game and the creators were still training. I see that his next few games look better. So I still have enough hope and still want to follow and play to see how much better it will be.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Initially this looked quite awesome. Sexy girls, impregnation, playing as the demon lord, breaking bitches with your giant dick.
All seemed fantastic.
And the game was even uncensored despite being Japanese game.
Or rather, censorship was localized. Yes, they removed the blurred genitals, but there is a character referred to as loli which looks like a milf instead. was she redrawn to fit western censorship standards?

Game is in RPGM VX Ace. A 2012 minor update to an engine from 2007, which was awful in 2007 too... it is locked to 544x416 resolution.
You pretty much have to switch to full screen, which turns all squares into rectangles.
The company that makes it is notorious for how their engines are extremely incompatible between versions. making upgrades impossible.
You need to do a complete reboot/remake in the newer version of the engine. Which means it is stuck with the problems.

At first glance they added quality of life features to the engine (something you can do via scripts).
Instead of the default 4 save slots there are a lot more.
They added a persistent save for gallery, added a gallery, and made it accessible from main menu.
In the game itself you are immediately introduced to heal pylons. walk near them for a full heal, no need to run to an inn.
They even added command remember feature (although it is a bit finnicky and gets forogotten between fights)

Unfortunately despite that the game is atrociously bad.
MC and his party are extremely weak compared to enemies, which requires lots and lots of grinding to overlevel them.
Enemies give extremely low XP, which makes the grinding much worse.
Realistically, you should use save editor to give yourself millions of XP.
Enemies spawn randomly when walking around. Which is pretty damn tedious. You will be fighting a lot. At the same time, you need it due to the low XP gains.

Even in first area, they made it a maze with "getting lost" features where there are 3 different nearly identical maps, only difference is that if you progress the right direction it will open some hard to find blockers and make the enemies tougher.
You need to memorize a path, and beware that backtracking is sometimes a trap that leads to a different location than where you came from. haha, you are lost. also there are a bunch of damage dealing water on the floor too to make things miserable.

The sexual content is far less than expected. Content is a series of related stillshots (example scene: MC with cock near girl, penetration shot, cumshot). With way too much talking to click through before seeing the next bit.
There are settings for voice overs. but there are none. nor are there any workings sex sounds. did the localizers just delete all the japanese audio, translate the japanese text into english, and call it a day?

The sexual content is primarily focused on [Netorase], which does not have a tag on F95.
~20% of the content is MC with girls.
~20% of the content is MC peeping at other men fucking his girls.
~60% of the content is MC and other guys gangbanging the girls.
no willing cuck tag, no sharing tag, and no voyeurism tag.
(the first 2 tags don't even exist in F95, but the 3rd one exists but is just not applied).

recommendation: download someone's fullsave. watch the scenes you actually like in the gallery. then delete the game.

What a bust, some rare candy shit right here. Sweet with a core to look forward to, get in before it disappears! There's not many male protagonist having rpgs that are this AWOOGA, so savour it well. Daijoubi games never miss bro

TL;DR: Grab a save file from the game thread to watch the H. It's decent enough to rate two stars instead of one, but the gameplay sucks.

From a RPG perspective, this game does a lot of things wrong.

Surprise encounters + hostile areas that require a lot of walking + slow level progression = poor design. Equipment upgrades seem to be very gradual as well, so you're going to be forced into a long grind to progress the story.

The very first hostile area you're thrown in is intentionally confusing to escape and loops across map edges, forcing you into a lot of combat right away. The 'boss' at the exit of this area also has a ton of HP and does a lot of damage, so you're forced to hit once, then heal twice for the majority of the battle. There's also toxic liquid pools in this area, because why not make the very first level as miserable as possible for players. :/

The next hostile area has a mob called a Metal Slime, which also has loads of HP and does a lot of damage. Even on easy mode, battles take far too long.

I didn't make it through the second area before quitting, so perhaps this review is unfair. However, let it be a lesson that frustrating your player base from the early stages of a game is usually a terrible idea. Roguelikes and Dark Souls are the exceptions, not the rule.

Love it,
one of the very few JRPGs with mprotag+ non ntr focused and it is well made.
It is definitely not vanilla stuff so be warned.

Other than that, game is hard and grindy , but nothing that can't be dealt with cheating(which is very easy to do) .

The quality is great and its uncensored on top of that! glad I found this one.

This game was pretty enjoyable in terms of story. Demon lord meets holy knight and decides he wants to corrupt her. Cue fighting from town to town ending with a corruption scene before continuing on with the plot. If you enjoy slow corruption it's done very well. The downside is how much leveling is required, some of those fights on normal takes some grinding and stat allocation thinking in order to progress.

Very disappointing.

So, there's 5 pages of scenes. Half of the scenes you earn through playing the game's plot. Then the second half of the scenes you get in a non-stop string of scenes at the very end.

The biggest complaint I have is the "gameplay" mechanic. It doesn't need to be there. It's grindy and unfun. They tried to put some crafting mechanic in there. Honestly, I'd call this a rushed/unfinished product.

The game itself requires you to talk to certain individuals and go to certain places to advance the game. I mean, isn't this normal triggers? No. It's not clear where to go at times. I had to google a couple times where to go and read some MTL chinese guide.

Your dad is sealed and was a conqueror. You're pacifist-ish because you only care about sex. Go sex empire. Dad's seal is coming undone and Luviria comes to reseal him. You break your pacifism to find and fuck Luviria. You reseal your father. The end. *cut to lots of sex*

Needlessly grindy. Unoriginal mechanics. Just overall boring. You have 3 spells, 1 single target spell small, 1 single target larget, 1 multi-target large. And every character has this same spell set.

You can heal with technique. And enemies have large health pools. So the battle loop is, attack to generate technique point, heal, repeat. That's the entire battle mechanic.

Go to new town, get gear, repeat pointless battles.

Characters 2/5

Most of the characters are pretty weak imo. In the end, you end up with 5 girls. 2 you start with and they start and end as giant sluts. 2 are kind of side add-ons, who just become sluts at the end.

Then there's Luviria, the main heroine of the game. Corruption by getting her addicted to your dick. All the girls become sluts by getting addicted to your dick. But that's it. I don't know how else to convey underwhelming, but yeah.

Hentai 5/5

The art is really good, there's no denying that. The art goes for very specific fetishes: ahegao, stomach deformation, urination, and semen. Oh yeah, the semen causes the stomach deformation. But it's hentai, I'll take it.

The sex scene writing is also fairly decent, although a bit repetitive. It's repetitive because all of the girls are slut-clones of each other.

There's also full voice acting, which is always a plus.

Again, this game was disappointing. Considering that there's an animation for this game, I had high expectations but was severely let down.

This is a game and it was not fun to play.

The bright spot was the hentai itself, but if I wanted good hentai I'd either watch hentai or read a doujin.

Games need to be fun to play. They need to bring something more to the table.

For the RPGMaker game, that one was one of the best out there. Lots of quality of life scripts used, so clunkiness of the standart UI is minimized. Options are there to skip pretty much everything you want and save the time on the grindy parts.

The game itself is pretty linear, paced as story block and NPC rounds\dungeon crawl and exploration\boss fight and some sex scenes, repeat . There is a crafting system in the game, which incentivizes you to explore and look for secrets to acquire best gear. Besides usual stat growth, you get to assign points to stats yourself for that additional power boost or early spec for a character.

As for the meat of the game, the main tags for all sex scenes art are "stomach deformation" "creampie" and "corruption", which is completely my jam, hence higher rating. Writing for sex scenes is good, for overall story is servicable. The progression is linear, so you don't miss any optional scenes if you just focus on main story with some cheat editing, if you are not into RPGmaker. Additional plus is that all heroines are voice acted,translation was on point most of the time.

TLDR if you like what you see on screenshots and can tolerate a modicum of RPGmaker, definitely try it.

Overall a decent game. It took me 7 hours to finish the story and there is no incentive to replay it (no NG+ mechanics).

Story
The story is decent. You play as the demon lord and you invade an entire country repeatetly just to lure out and corrupt one girl, the holy knight Luviria. The corruption part is decent, a bit generic, but satisfiying.

Gameplay
This is a standard RPG dungeon crawler. You run through dungeons, open all chests you find and fight random encounters until you find a shiny healing point and know there is a boss ahead.
You can freely reassign attribute points to all characters. Effectively this allows you to choose if you want a frontline swordsman or backline mage. But on the downside all characters have the same skills and only vary in their respective damage element.
This game asks you to grind a little, if you want to be ahead of the curve, as you will lack 10-15 random encounters to buy the best avaiable gear after each dungeon.


H-Gameplay
H is not tied to gameplay at all. You will only encounter H cutscenes, when the story advances.

Kinks and "plot"
The main theme is corruption, the straightforward "rape her until she's addicted" variant.
The other main theme is semen. Every male in this game is capable of shooting out several liters of semen resulting in inflated bellies and cum baths. Most of the times you will be hearing some kind of sloshing, splashing or gargling semen pumping sounds.
Other kinks include a few forms of bondage to accompany rape, some bits of reverse rape and one of the MC's traveling companion is his sister.
The cutscenes are well made and consist of the usual CG stills. All female main characters are voiced.

Overall I rate this game with three stars - average. This easily bumps up to 4 stars, if you're into its main themes and kinks.

Overall a really fun game but not perfect. Still one of the best I've played recently especially for a RPGmaker game.

Story:
I found the story to be enjoyable to read through and I was a fan of all the character's personalities. It has a nice combination of the two girls you take with you on the story already being slutty and the heroine (Luviria) being quite slow to corrupt. Her buildup of corruption is over ~10 sets of CGs well spaced out throughout the game. Can't think of many other games that do corruption this well. There are a good number of scenes with all girls that you can see on the main image in OPs post but just them I believe.

Gameplay:
The gameplay here is your pretty standard RPGmaker game. The main loop is you go through a dungeon, fight your way to the boss, progress the story, and then you have a new town to explore and grab new gear. Combat is standard aside from the cool part that you can reallocate your stats whenever you want. There is an easy way to quickly grind through the game if you want to avoid the combat strategy (see my post on Page 10 ). There were type advantages and such but I ignored all of that and was fine.

To sum it up it was a pretty standard RPGmaker game, but done quite well with one of the best corruption stories I've played recently. Good story, characters, mechanics, solid title.
