There's a reason people like M/S B/S and F/D incest more than first cousin incest, despite all of those being equally as illegal in most places.

Fucking your cousin is actually legal most places. Cousin marriage was extremely common all over the world until automobiles became affordable and you could find a spouse further away, and most places haven't updated their laws to match the new social taboo.
