Well if you’re playing these types of games for their endings that’s gonna happen a lot. Devs have no intention of ending their game and just want to milk it for as long as possible if it gets popular. That or they get bored with their game and give it a rushed ending or it doesn’t get as popular as they wanted so they rush to end it so they can try again with another. Best to just play these games for the journey.
I dont think this is really true a lot of times. Maybe for sandboxes like milfy city, but not a lot of games that actually try to have a narrative like midnight paradise or timetamps. I think the real issue with a lot of devs is that they dont even know how to end it in the first place. Like some of the games mentioned are pretty popular, a lot of writers just have trouble making an ending that wraps everything up. A lot of times writers plan out how they want the story to end when they start writing but then spend years writing the middle bits so the ending they originally envision doesn't really fit that well anymore. It's not just a problem with AVN but with a lot of writing. It's one of the reasons himym got so much flack for it's ending.
I mean the story is that the MC suddenly learns the parents he grew up with his entire life are not his real parents, but regardless it makes sense that he would still think of them as his mom and dad. It's actually very realistic that he wouldn't actually be ready to start calling his real bio mom who is a complete stranger to him, Mom, right off the bat, and the same goes for the rest of the family. Now after enough time passes and he gets closer to them, then it would make more sense for him to adopt more familial terms of endearment for them. We'll see if that actually happens as the game gets much further along. If it doesn't I might step in and do my thing to change that, but for now it doesn't feel right by the story to change things IMHO.
