If I not mistaken one of the devs of DFD passed away before they could finish the game, maybe that's why. Now about Double Homework, I don't remember having any inconsistency. But I'm suspect since I love the game and the twins.

It's a visual novel, not a sandbox so there is a linear story the game follows with some branching paths, like last chapter a neighboring kingdom is in a civil war and you're asked to support a side with the winning side becoming your vassal since you're trying to rebuild the empire. In another part of the mc's father arranges a political marriage between two princess from different kingdoms and you're given the choice pick which one you're going to marry.

I'd say if you're going to play it at all give it a fair chance. If you just want to watch the incest scenes and don't care about anything else at all then don't bother
I always try to give each game a fair chance. But, yeah, when 70-80% of the games on this site are made to scam people and/or waste our time, that fair chance feels undeserved. The Incest tag has become some kind of "insurance" I think is the correct word; even if I end up wasting my time, I at least got some kind of enjoyment out of the ordeal.
The dev already has one completed game and this one is completely free and the incest is actually important to the story, but they're still trying to tell a story and it's a story driven game, so if you're playing just for the porn I don't see the point in bothering. This is not one of the games where the story is just tacked on and is just set up for the scenes. The story is like the main thing
That dev in particular is one of the best devs on this entire website. Definitely not trying to scam anyone and cranks out updates faster than I can type this reply. It's also a really nicely fleshed out world and very little incest to this point (it's a slow burn to get to that) so if you Ctrl-skip the whole game you'd be missing out on the good parts entirely and being disappointed at the result.
