Originally the MC was in a relationship with his girlfriend, his older sister and his girlfriend's older sister (with everyone in MC's harem sleeping with each other).

this was changed so the GF and her sister were then step-sisters by marriage, and the MC's sister turned into his godsister, who his parents took in when her parents died earlier.

The author apparently also didn't consider enough on how it would change the story - e.g. the GF's sister had a bad reputation in school, and in chapter 34 the GF now faced some repercussions because of her last name - which should be different as they're not even related anymore.

I can see how that'd be silly and break continuity. Thanks for telling me about it! I'll give it a read regardless, can't hurt to form my own opinion on it.

It saddens me that now of all times, we are seeing a decline in incest games and I think its because of patreon. If you visit patreon scraped sites, you will see that they have all sorts of vile stuff including pedo contents, but when it comes to incest, suddenly its too far for them.

Big porn studios have some directors who use step once in their videos, just so they get cleared for payment. They absolutely are under restrictions. There are stories from well known amateur actors, I think it was that CockNinja guy who said that he stopped making videos because he couldn't get paid, because his content was taboo themed and he didn't want to use step.

If you're selling via American websites, you must use step. I've heard that FANZA has removed all of the non compliant videos from the English version of the website. You can only see those on the Japanese version. Do you think that the Japanese industry would bend like this if they didn't have to?

Yeah, by now it doesn't, but for some time it was a functioning workaround, until Patreon changed their rules from "family members" to anybody in a "familial relationship" and we started getting "roommate"/"landlady" porn.
Honestly, I'm kinda expecting that their rules will be changed to address those games at some point.

Patreon is dictating these rules, not payment processors.

Payment processors are clearly fine with step, even if it's said only once and you proceed with your content going on without it. I see small studios and amateurs doing this and it's fine.

The only people who go above and beyond to scrub their content clean are the people who get paid on Patreon. It can't be a coincidence
