No they are not fighting back! They are using the situation for their own gain... None of the games they are offering were banned on Steam or Itch (Probably because those games were already banned on GoG...). Several of them are even games that bowed down and changed their whole premises or removed content to fit the payment processor censorship rules of Patreon/Steam/GoG. How the fuck is that fighting back or taking a stand? Yeah... They are trying to trick people frustrated with Steam's recent actions to use their site instead to get games. And half of the games offered are games in a series or "Season 1s" as a hook to get people hooked to buy future offerings, that's the real purpose of this. Not that I'm against Free stuff, but yeah... Don't let yourself be manipulated into thinking that GoG is an actual ally in this fight.
