Last I checked, VR functionality is still very much WiP. It's not really worth it right now because the game will be littered with bugs when running in VR.

A lot of the custom characters require you to download their mods. They will often times come with the custom assets needed. They can be acquired from the Home Together Discord, most seem to use Mega.nz.

Either way, you can just load any random character with a character card, but many require mods to function properly.
