Tool Honey Select 2 or others?

What "tools" do you recommend if I want to create a game with sex animation? What I have in my mind is Honey Select 2. But just yesterday I learned that there is a program called virt-a-mat. Unfortunately, my laptop specs seems not adequate to use it(AMD ryzen 5 6600H, graphics AMD RADEON 660M, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD). So now I am open to other possibilities but because I am just a beginner, Daz3D or blender or any 3D program that build from scratches maybe out of my preferences for now.

I'd say HS2 or Koikatsu are your best bets (depending on the aesthetic you want). For Daz3D and Blender, you'd want an Nvidia gpu. They don't work nearly as well with team reds stuff, especially mobile chips.

Downside is you wouldn't be able to sell on steam, if that's what you wanted.

I don't plan to sell on steam, but I'm curious, why? Does Steam ban porn as 2025? Or copyright?

Copyright issue. Steam doesn't allow most HS2 or Koikatsu games. Every other platform I know does allow it, though. The issue seems to be more on steams side as Illusion both no longer exists (and the current copyright holder is unknown), and has not once went after any games that used their software.

As far as I'm aware, none of the other platforms you'd want to use have ever taken down a KK/HS game for that reason. Itch, Substar, Patreon, etc all seem to not care in the slightest. Probably because Illusion themselves never raised a fuss about it, so they never saw the need to.

If you're talking non-adult stuff, GOG and Epic might take a similar approach to steam, but I've got no info on that front.

Ohh okay. Still that's pretty cool. I guess patreon is the way to go if you wanna do it commercially. Maybe I should look into how to extract Honey Select and Koikatsu models for Unity and see how it goes. Getting kind of fed up with VN styles so I wanna dive into 3D stuff

I'd recommend KK/HS -> Blender -> Unity. Probably the easiest method, with the added benefit of being able to make tweaks to stuff in blender.
