Am I crazy or is this guy's ci-en works page plastered with AI art, right?
I don't imagine this particular game would be an exception.
But I also don't know if the ai cg tag is only applicable if the author divulges it themselves.
No, you aren't crazy. Took a peek myself and that's pretty much AI art across the board. They've got seven other works, and while you need to access them with a VPN to JP, they're all labelled AI Art. This is the only one that isn't,
but, it's still got a lot of tells that would make it very difficult to presume it's not AI art. I'm gonna give a look at it and if I can determine it, I'd say it's either that, or as I guessed earlier, a ripoff of Gyokai's art. Probably wont get the AI CG tag added anyways here, but worth a shot.
EDIT: Okay, went through it. Won't post a review because I just sped through it and didn't read shit, so if they've got any prose to it, that's on them.
But I can at least say it
is not AI art. Problem is, I can still attest that it's very influenced by Gyokai, but the artist is about as amateur as it gets. The CGs are pretty... rough. Sprites are even rougher, you can tell they can't actually do hands for sprites without them looking like garbage. Dev snuck in a timelapse of the final CG art [and just credits themselves for art, nothing else honestly], but aside from this... I can't actually spot any tomfoolery otherwise. (E.g., tracing.)
I'd be detracting multiple points for the fact that the structure for the game is absolute fucking garbage. Who the fuck makes a VN in RPGM? Why the fuck is every h-scene pretty much like a run-or-rape where if you give up you just have a bad end and go to title screen? And the MAIN HEROINE has TWO CGs. Waste of an excellent fucking character design. The live2d is... not bad honestly but pairing it with the very obvious flaws in the art just exacerbates the issue.
The most amazing part of this is that the skip key actually works unlike most RPGM games.
