VN - Ren'Py - Hooked! [v0.4.5] [BlenderKnight]

The models used is a bit of fresh air. The animation during the few sex scenes thus far have been tight and well executed. The dialogue has been good as well, especially for us older folk who remember growing up in the mid-to-late 90s.

Good job, can't wait to see the next update.

This is already a very promising gem that, when given time, will probably be one of the most fun VN's I've played. It's got a certain charm to it that really lets it stand on its own two feet even this early in development. I look forward to the progress it makes.

Tbh i didn't really expect much from this calling it just another "adult visual novel with a diffrent artstyle" and oh boy... It caught me off guard of how well done the transitions, the renders, and even the character models are to every movement and reaction. This was a breather for me or all of us in fact since all the AVN's in this site share the same models and share the same renders. This game made me realize that i was sick of those AVN's with the same models and made me appreciate the AVN's with their own personal artstyle.

I did notice one thing though that the mc seems kinda on the virgin side and sometimes its too much but most of it is toleratable. This game is still in early development so im rating it 5 stars (for now)

the amount of effort the dev is putting in is incredible!
The art style, the transitions, animations - all of it screams of passion and dedication.
be aware that this is only three chapters as of October 2024 so it is short, but very packed

Do not miss this game

First and foremost: I love this art style. This game has ACTUAL sex appeal, and isn't just the same models we've seen used in countless VNs.

It also doesn't hurt that the personalities are pretty sexy, and the story and humor are both on-point as well. This is definitely one of the ones I'm keeping an eye on.

One of those rare games in early stages that are definitely worth keeping track of. Everything just works great together. Writing, art style, character design, etc. Hoping for a smooth development and can't wait to see where it goes!

Love the art style and character designs. The humour is good too but sometimes it comes on a bit too thick, some other tones would help mix it up. It ends too soon, but when I played it was only v0.2. Not too many games that lead with romance and a naive player character, but I like it here. Will be watching how this game develops (and will check it out on patreon).

Great characters with strong writing. The corn scenes are also amazing
Game appeals to be casual with choices, while also give players options to alter abit of outcome but not a hc sweaty. This is the key component for a corn games otherwise you would play normal games where you spend hundred hours to unlock scenes instead. Game runs smoothly on Renpy engine after all. It has all the standard feature skip, rewind, back/history etc you would expected

Plenty of content for this early stage, nice music, good animation quality and a unique artstyle with a promising premise. There is nothing not to love with this game. Looking forward to how it progresses in the future.

If this game is every completed it will be peak. The art is just so damn good its insane. Really hope that everything works out and it is able to be finished. I would still suggest playing it how it is so you will keep watch for it in the future. It is amazing.

Great dialogue and story writing, great style choices and feels fresh and original. You can tell there is love put into every part of this, can't wait to follow this project and if the creator keeps this level of quality it's going to be one of the greatest we've seen lately!

have known this site for a long time and this game really is number 1 for me. world design, character design and aesthetic is beautiful. characters also feel very real. hope this game gets more support and attention

All of the girls are fun to see and read. BlenderKnight's Art style is iconic and the story is comedic and well written and i just want more., especially from Helen and Alex since they have a lot less scenes so far Hannah in episode 2? that was fucking hot and i feel like this is just a teaser.

Never gave a thumbs up or rating for years. I enjoy playing from time to time and I know a lot of developers put effort into their work, but this one just seems different. Great UI, story, and animations. I just had to login and pay my minimum respect. 5 stars!!

Good premise, a great unique art style, with hot girls, my biggest gripe with this game, and the reason why it's not 5 stars, is how much of a ween the MC is, and it's fine to be nerdy and like anime and all the stuff they mention in the game, it's his god damn insufferable internal monologue that is completely lacking common sense that is doing it for me. Everything else about the game is great, but having a "weak" MC definitely hurts this game, and again I don't mean strong as in muscles. Maybe he will grow into a more confident character but for now, it's a 4 out of 5 star game because I struggled with his internal monologue.

Finally a game with an art style that's different. This one has a lot of potential and am looking forward to future updates. The writing is solid and so are the renders. Every daz and HS game seem to just blend together. Keep up the good work!

The art style and general set-up is refreshing, but the story seems a bit trope-y. Our "fish out of water" MC is likeable and the love interests offer some divergent personalities and body types. A good start so far -- I'll be happy to follow the game's development.

The Good ()

• Interesting cell-shaded / rotoscope art direction
• MC is likeable
• Story is whimsical and humorous -- found myself chuckling along a few times
• Good h-scenes and animations (if limited)

The Not-So-Good ()

• Feels like we can already predict where certain aspects of the story will go
• Relatively short -- not much to judge on so far

Hooked, I can openly say that it fulfills its objective because it left me "hooked" (Ba Bum Thesss ), joking aside, it fulfills everything it says and mostly I feel the immersion of a character with little experience in that era where it is located, giving a unique experience complemented by his art and that filter that makes you feel as if you were in a series from the 2000s, highlighting those small details where you appreciate or want to see where we are and are like a love letter to those times, for If I had money, Hooked would definitely receive my financing.

Updating my review from 4 to 5 stars after playing 3.0 because we are witnessing the making a great VN. The girls and sexual content in this game so far are top notch. I love this art style a lot. The writing can be cheesy and the main character is a typical moron virgin type, but it still made me chuckle multiple times so I won't let that bring this review down. Really looking forward to future updates.
