Most of us are probably running win 10. The problem is you don't have DirectX 9, not the newness of your computer.

I'm seeing so many people claiming this as a bug in the games they are trying to run on their computers. I'm not expecting everyone to know how to fix this but seeing as this is being experienced by users on a regular basis I think there should be a section on this site dedicated to this probably in the front page.
