The game has potential but is a bit of a mess at the moment.

The renders are a bit off, they've tried to make them look varied and natural but have messed up some features on some of the girls (Abel's eyebrows and mouth for example). 5/10

Animations are a bit bizarre, the models are jumping all over the place, doesn't look even slightly realistic. 3/10

Story line is standard, nothing special to note. 6/10

Navigation is a pain in the ass, they've invested way too much time in this and have over complicated it. 3/10

The whole point of a text box is that it is a contrasting colour that makes the text stand out. The font and box behind are similar colours making reading difficult.

The game has glitches in a fair few places, some during the animations and within the autosaves, the game can take a while to start up as well. I have a feeling if they don't sort out their programming skills and improve the grindy navigation this game will be a dud.

Jeez this game is terrible and unplayable , tried this game for " Avoidable Sandbox " funnily while playing the game you are forced to play free roam ad asked to go to a particular location , visit someone at particular time , you can't avoid it or even skip it , it fully turned out to be a poorly implemented sandbox , main story is not even 10 mins of gameplay if you wanna avoid sandbox and with sandbox it is just poor with time , locations and annoying tasks . Moving on to the characters Male Main character is boring seems to lost a backbone while he left the town , female medals all look very old and writing is poor . Just wasted my time playing it and posted a review so others don't waste theirs .

Poor writing, annoying navigation in the sandbox environment, quest log not properly updating, but more than anything all female characters looks like actual monsters. They all kinda look like some 40 year old whiskey tango girl that started drinking and smoking cr*ck at 12 and it stunted her growth.

This is a masterpiece for my taste.
Many people say that the girls are not what they should be, it can be better, and so on. But then, after all, what is the matter - not to please everyone. People are different, different preferences. I don't like the provocative makeup of a couple of characters, but what kind of figures they have. I would give a lot to become this MC and be in his place - he is damn lucky!
The author - many thanks for this game, I will definitely not delete it even if I need space on the hard disk. What girls, I just want them all.


I also like the plot, I did not go through it to the end and I hope that it will be even more interesting further)
There is almost everything you need, but we already know that ideal games are just a fairy tale or a dream, but for me this game is very close. Masterpiece

Horton Bay Stories - Jake [v0.1.3] review -

First thing to note and very bad thing in this game is its female models who look like they are some kind of monster girls or girls with Halloween makeup if that was not enough to scare you from trying the game , their horrible facial expression will most likely will do the job . Second is good for nothing Sandbox with time , location , money and weird free roam if you wanna play without sandbox there is nothing to play for and have to use cheats to reduce the amount of grind . Third is the writing and the story of boy leaving his city after his gf cheated on him this game is pretty boring . Fourth is Main character who is pretty much an idiot midget and no character . Overall the game is pretty disappointing to play , deleted it and added to the ignore list .

Characters
Huge range of people to meet, it's insane how much characters the game has - of course we can't do much with all for now.
Various looks for different folks - so the ugly characters we see in the preview thumbnails are not all there is (they also have their own sexual charm imo).

Writing
It gets better post prologue - by better I mean less and more focused on day-to-day/events (as you don't need much to play sandbox games). Initially, some of the narration was unnecessary, i.e. actions we can see don't need a narration
Some initial unrealistic behaviour; Mr Abrahams sits back in defeat during and after photo taken
The beginning story was boring as it's very on the nose and draws out plotlines that could be summed up way shorter. However, now that the game is in the style of sandbox, it's much more engaging.

Content
No short of events and repeatable activities with unlockable scenes. However the Moral System sucks in its current form as all the extra content seems to be available only for the Bad Moral.


I didn't expect much at first but the game offers a lot of content to fool around with various characters in a sandbox setting. It will get better once more of the characters are accessible.

Has some INCREDIBLY hot concepts going on, and very excited to see where it's heading next.
The added sound clips to the animated scenes are a big plus.

Can feel a bit grindy at times if you don't use the built in cheat mode in order to get the required relationship and attraction points, but it's not overly bad.

Played till the latest version 0.1.2 certain models looks and their facial expressions are horrifying to watch , like Abel who looks more like a grandma than a shy virgin , only Christine looked good and she is idiot Lucas girlfriend , had to be him now we have have to wait till the end of the game to have sex with her . Coming off to gameplay " SANDBOX " , I find it weird where you had to click on the character icon rather than the characters and a Free roam with no quick travel options . I played with NTR path " ON " except for the first scene in the intro with the Main character girlfriend which was good , most of the game story seems us watching other peoples / couples having sex rather than us doing some things or someone taking our Love interests and we had to watch Rupert flashback weird . And Lucas is irritating , there is not even an option to beat him up when he speaks ill of your mom . And the sex animations are short and badly developed . At this moment the game is more of a boring voyeur kind watching other couples / random people having sex . The game is worth 2.5 stars but the models make it 2 in the end . Have to wait and see how next update turns out and I'll edit my review later .

The renders are basically poor and some of the models are downright creepy and sex animations are weird . There is nothing new with story Main character moves out of country to a new school and meets new friends . Sandbox in this game is not avoidable there were hints luckily thanks to that but it is still poorly implemented where you have to point and click on multiple times with no shortcuts . I played with NTR toggle off and still I saw many sex scenes involving possible love interest . And I don't think NTR is avoidable it is more of skippable in this game . I don't recommend this game as this is more of everyone fucks everything and they share others with you and unless voyeurism or NTR is your kink .

I really like this game, for the first update, the game already had a lot of content compared to the other new games when they were first released, which is a good point.
Lots of in-game locations which means there will be lots of varied content in multiple locations which I like, sandbox is one of my play styles, it's all a matter of taste for some people who will scream when they see "sandbox" I want to tell them they should skip it and come try it out because it's addictive.
The characters heads are sometimes funny and others very hot, quest, make money to pay our landlord or else we are homeless, bribe the students in our roommate, NTR (oh yes!), endearing characters, animated scenes, good start to the story, hoping to see more in the next updates, but it's already a very good start!
I highly recommend it !

Judging by the current place holder of locations, characters and the gameplay's mechanics, the game is ambitious alright, the pace of some plots is at least .... interesting and not monotonous but they are not new and/or fresh as well, while they are not bad, its nothing to write home about.

But main thing that bugging me off is just how characters interact with each other....
They don't feel real and just kinda feels like they are ripped off from cartoon somewhere (which is like 50% of the games here but personally, it threw me off}

the good thing about the game for me is that the MC is not the only male character that "in" the game and the diversity of the personality of the male characters is also there (might be too early to tell but who knows) , so it actually has a stand out point from the rest of the millions of similar games , I can see the game could become successful if developers actually manage to make interesting stories at most of the areas (more interesting than the current plots that plays out between the characters).

This is a cuck simulator. The background story is a cuck simulator where basically every character mentiones in the intro is fucking your girlfriend. As usual tehre is an issue, and is the same issue that al the cheap ntr games have:
"this is your girlfriend, watch how she fucks everything before you as a player have even the slightests interaction with her"
The mark of the bad writer, which is telling, but not showing.
She is the girlfriend apparently since they are 14, so its 5 years, and thats it, but they dont even interact with each other, and according to the intro she is jsut gonna dissapear ater the breakup i guess.

As i said in many other reviews, she is not my love interst cause you tell me its my girfriend. Well it is what it is.
Animations are not the best but i think they work, but so far i think its relying too muhc on them, and sex scenes so far are 1 position.

Lets see if the can change my initial feeling.

EDIT After sort of finishing it:
The game is kind of empty or at least is hard to find events, and its kind of a leap of faith to continue playing without knowing if something new is gonna happen.
Ther is not much as of now, and if there is as I said it is hard to know about it and find it, despite the fact that its a pretty heavy game.

After playing for some time and achieving a couple of interesting things i can say that the game at least offers some payoff.
Girls are kind of hard to look at, but at least some of them are quite hot actually. The way some scenes are animated is pretty diffrent from the things you normally see in DAZ games, this looks like custom made, there are poses and animations that are easy on the eye and feel natural. There are a lot of details of that nature here and there.
Still it needs some polishing but it definetly has things that are almost imposible to see like vaginas occupying a more realistic place, so the penetrations look kind of good. Boob animations, in some parts are quite decent.

I will expect it to improve and offer more in the future, and more easy to find, but for now i leave it at 4, i trust these devs, at least the 3D artist who is pulling some nice shit (and some ugly also, but well, time will decide the balance)

Very good game, expecially the game mode. The feature "objectives" is very useful , it's like a walkthrough. Nice characters, little bit too much "school setting" for my taste... hope we will meet more milfs in future releases!

This is potentially a really fun 5 star game, but I am only going to give it 4 stars at this time due to a few issues. Version 1.1

I will start with what I do like.

The girls are sexy, slutty, and a lot of fun. It is just titillating through and through. Fun. I wanted to fuck some of them so badly as they were just intriguing characters.

A lot of games have beautiful models but the way they are written is just boring and sterile. The women here are interesting, enjoyable, and fun!

The presence of other dudes that actually fuck the women in this game is interesting and believable. If you lived in a world filled with sex positive women who were this sexy and fun then they for sure would be hitting the other dudes.

The scene with Lucas at the party was amazingly funny and well written. It is like this is a multi player porn game, and every once in awhile you run into Lucas doing the same shit you're trying to do. You want a harem? Sure fine. But so does Lucas. Deal with it.

Stealing another dude's women means something in this game. I found it satisfying when it finally happened because they could and do fuck other dudes.

I also like the fact that there are so many male characters in the game. It just felt more real. I also think the back story of Rupert was great. I mean everyone looks down on him as the little shit he is, but he also gets a raw deal from Lucas who is also a fucking asshole. And then you are given the opportunity to do all the shitty things to the girls that Lucas and Rupert do. Being an asshole in this game is an option, but it has a bit more weight as there are other dudes doing these same fucked up things. Will you also be a total dick head? If you do take that path the game makes you at least realize that you are no better than the other assholes that live in this world. Being an asshole had real weight here because of the existence of these other assholes.

The writing is pretty solid. No complaints from me. I was never distracted from the story by terrible sentence structure.

The progression of the sand box elements was good. Scenes that you can do multiple times ( and you will have to as that is the game) change over time as your relationships develop. Cool.

Now for the bad.

Yeah, some of the women have some facial features that are just a bit jarring. The more time I spent with this game the more I got used to it. But the game would be a LOT more sexy if the models didn't have these issues.

For instance Claire is fucking sexy, but her nose has some very square lines that at times makes her look like she had a really bad plastic surgery job, giving her almost a pig like snout in some scenes.

Adele has the most problems. Something is just wrong with her face. At times she just looks like she has some sort of skin disease. Like a rash that she is covering up with a heavy layer of makeup. I loved the imperfection of her ass. The imperfection that appears there is fucking sexy as she seems so real, but her face has a bit too much imperfection. Yes, in the real world I have met some insanely sexy women who technically had some ugly facial features, but Adele's imperfections are a bit too much at times.

However, the flip side is that the girls don't all look alike. In a lot of games all the girls pretty much look alike. That is not the case here. Every girl here has her own look, other than the twins. There are 62 girls (yes 62!) in the main character's phone and they all have a unique look. Some of them look great, so I can't wait to meet them all!

So yes, technically some of the girls have some ugly features. People are going to complain about that endlessly. Just the way it is. It would be great if these could be improved, but I would still recommend this game as it is just a lot of fun.

I really hope the author sticks with this game. They know how to make a really fun and sexy romp. I was turned on (despite some of the oddly off putting facial features), and I enjoyed every minute of this game despite the flaws.

If the aesthetic flaws could be improved (without taking away the unique quality that each girl has) then this could easily be one of the best games in this genera.

I would totally recommend this game to anyone that enjoys sandbox games. If you don't like sandbox then stick to your Visual Novels and Kinetic stories.

I can't wait to see how this develops.

Very Ambitious, need to see more for a good take on things but the overall idea is there. Some of the faces do need to be cleaned up, im not sure how some of them made it threw quality control but thats not hard to fix up.

The scale of things and a straight forward story with no magic and dragons is what drives it forward. Not a fan of sandbox, i barely let this one pass because of it but as said the scale of the story gives it some weight.

I can see in a few updates as the world is expanded and if maybe a few adjustments are made that things can really take a leap forward.

Really enjoyed the game. The writing is well done and the scenarios presented are very hot. Some of the character faces are a little scary looking but that won't stop my enjoyment. Like the NTR elements while still getting MC's rocks off. Look forwrd to more updates. Will patreon if they're consistent.

Even with NTR off there is a huge amount of cucking going on but just not on you except the beginning so if NTR and cucking in general isnt your thing this game isnt for you. The map...holy crap. Tons of empty space in a sandbox is a game killer I know its a new game but I got so lost it took me nearly 20 actual minutes to find home from exploring town clicking on 40+ arrows at random looking for home since there seems to be no fast travel home or its broken. Most the directions in town are just north or west and its super easy to get lost I nearly had to start over. The MC kinda seems like he could be a spineless bitch I mean personally I would have made Lucas deep throat a kitchen knife for the mom comment but thats me. The game has potential but it also has the possibility to fall apart and not meet expectations. I do look forward to seeing where this goes though but it needs a lot of work.

So this will be a game were a lot of people are crying "hell no".
If you do not like NTR in all its variants, you should not play this game IMO (@mods, probably best to clarify that in the overview or something).

The main plot point is, that you get cucked right at the start, and go out into the world to either find love or become someone that cucks. Along the way you will get into situations where others are treating womens as fucktoys, but I dont know if this is shown when you have NTR off. At least that is how I interpret this first episode.

Renders are okay, only the faces in some scenes could need a bit of a rework, as especially the girls scrunch their face up quite a bit sometimes.

So, if you are into NTR/Netori, this game is right up your alley.
As I did not play the love/non NTR route, I can not comment about the implention of it.

What to say, what to even think. I've seen the the renders, you've seen the renders, but that's not the concern whatsoever. The renders can be looked passed, the animation can be excused. When you look at the tags you already wonder "oh boy, what the fuck is the garbled mess", and you got that right.
I have to be honest, I saw the tags harem and ntr together and retched in my mouth, but hey tags are tags right? The dev also made certain things avoidable, such as ntr, which at first glance is amazing right? I couldn't be more wrong. Apparently you take up the perspective of a male MC, considering you have ntr turned off, this doesn't stop the dev showing you that the MC is getting cucked in broad daylight as your girlfriend get fucked in front of him by his bestfriend IN THE INTRO. Now ofcourse you can skip the intro, but remember you have ntr turned off right? but skipping doesn't mean avoidable whatsoever in this context so I don't know what to make of that.
Say you have an open mind, like I tried to have, trust me I did try. I got past the intro. The dev tells us a story of the MC getting cucked and moving away from that place far away to go to a university. We arrive at a house where we're going to reside at for however long. Not long after we settle we learn about a perverted guy named Rupert who tried to fuck the women living in that house,(3 women and 1 other guy living there) and got kicked out, fine.
The other guy of the house, Lucas, claims all the women as his own apparently, that's fine idc. The MC asks one of the women why Rupert the pervert got kicked out and what happened exactly, we go into a flashback where somehow the woman knows exactly what Rupert the pervert was thinking while eyeballing them, switching POV's all over the place going into his mind where he fucks all the women while cucking Lucas yadayada, whatever.
Anyways I'm tired of this already you get the gist, terrible renders, animations, story, writing, characters. Decent sandbox though.
But overall 1.5/10
