I recall HTH being better then this really. Even the little demo builds I played in my flash player some 10-15 years ago or whenever it was seemed better.
I didn't try this one. Just gave me the HTH vibes. Hotel. Anthro Animals with big dicks and boobs.

There are TWO files in the folder.
You need this one
You are trying to open unit_controller_inventory.xml.protect. This one needs to be REMOVED
If the first file is not there, then you have NEVER launched the game
Use these settings to see file extensions.

It IS my 1st computer yeah. i'm not gonna take offense to the 1st part here lol. ty for the extra help. And i did open it up with Notepad++, just the same text as regular notepad
I just needed to unlock the auto tool lol. But its alright, i obviously have no damn clue what im doing here. Hope i didn't anger anybody, I'm honest to god not trolling

you don't edit with Edge, you right click and select "Edit with Notepad++" or "Edit", or even "Open with" and select Notepad or Notepad++
you edit the "controller_player.xml" file in Notepad (or Notepad++), making sure to follow the instructions. You also need to make sure that the "controller_player.xml.protect" file is deleted so it doesn't cause any issues.
It'd be easier if you knew the ins-and-outs of how XML works, but it's not really too difficult. Firstly, the section you need to edit should start with
<_element_character_list> and end with </_element_character_list>. Anything other than this will cause errors. Then, just copy and paste everything you want.Following the most recent iteration of the entire instructions, my full file looks like this:
