Hrrrm.
Gotta say, much as the visual quality is fundamentally as expected, I do think some scenes really overdid the dramatics. It's going the Hollywood "how about everything is always DARK" way ... sometimes visual clarity is just nicer.
The other thing, well. It's kinda what I "worried" about; guy is a random demon, unfortunate situation, needs to seduce some women; okay, perfect, really all anyone needs and works quite nicely.
But oh no we just
have to have the absolute Specialist-Snowflakist-Amnesia-Past-Life-Love-Chosen-One backstory. It was one thing in S1, where it's comparatively in the background to just figuring things out and doing Pretend-Porn with Meredith. It wasn't great there, but it was largely ignorable. But now it's put way more into the center of what's going on; it's central to the motivation of the setup. And it's (to me) as unbearable cringe (the guy is unironically called Nero after all...) as it's been before.
Oh well. It was kinda predictable this was going to happen, but I really wish it'd have stayed waaaaaaay more in the back. Well. Or not be there at all, of course, but that was never going to happen obviously
