So how do I fix it? I tried rebooting to Win7 (my old second OS), it does work there, but this OS of mine is highly unstable these days and I won't be able to use it every time I want to play.
I recall having this certificate problem before with a completely different software, not even Unity based, it was Ollama (AI text generation), it failed to download models from their repository with a similar error, but that doesn't help me understand it.
Since it works on Win7, it's not an ISP problem. I already tried running in Win7 compatibility mode.
I wish I could somehow trick the game into thinking that it accessed googledocs successfully. Surely there can't be anything crucial to the gameplay there, must be just the statistics collection.

Strangely enough, the demo from Steam works. Really makes you think this is some kind of DRM. I thought the games shared here are all jailbroken.

In the end I had to install Win7 on a virtual machine and play from there. Imagine having to go such lengths just to play some pixel game (which requires videocard drivers installation or you get 10 fps).
I do not recommend such experience and gamemakers like this should be punished, both for unauthorized phoning home built into their games and requiring online connection and a particular OS for it to be playable.

It won't launch, hangs after the "made with unity" screen.
The log says
Curl error 60: Cert verify failed: UNITYTLS_X509VERIFY_FLAG_USER_ERROR1
SSL CA certificate error
Curl error 7: Failed to connect to docs.google.com port 443 after 2037 ms: Connection refused
Cannot connect to destination host

Imagine requiring online connection and proper certificated to launch a tiny hentai game, this is worse than DRM. Why is such phone home functionality even allowed, it should be detectable by antivirus. Who knows what it's sending where.
And to have the entire launch sequence fail due to an unnecessary online call is super lame.
weird never had this problem

Did you ever figure it out? I'm having the same problem and no one else talks about it anywhere.
Yeah there's really no full screen option using ALT+Enter, F4, F11 or any of the standard fullscreen shortcuts. Even the in-game settings only has 3 size options.

The only way is to resize the windows using programs. Here's 2 simple programs attached that can help.
1) Sizer 4.00 is a bit more complex, but better and faster overall for presets to resize windows.
2) ResizeEnable won't be 100% accurate full screen all the time, but it's easy to manually resize any window.

1) Sizer 4.00 (Configure any window size)
- Run the .exe
- Go back to the Program/App you want to change the size of
- Press CTRL + (Win/Windows Key) + Z at the same time and screen sizes should appear
- Click to choose your preferred window size and the Program window size will change

1a) Make your own Preset Window Sizes
- If your window size isn't there double click the Tray Icon, or right click it and Configure Sizer
- Click 'Sizer Menu' and click 'Add Size'
- Description: Put your window size. Example: 2560x1440 (for 1440p)
- Width: 2560, Height: 1440 (for 1440p settings)
- Move to: You can add a default position to move the window, but Don't Move is fine by default
- Shortcut key: You can set a combination of keys to press to instantly resize a window to the selected size
- After configuring press OK, then your option will be added to the Sizer Menu

2) ResizeEnable (Manually size windows)
- Run the .exe
- You can then manually resize any window by dragging the edges horizontally or vertically when the arrows appear
- It doesn't seem to have an option to resize diagonally unless there's an updated version somewhere

Edit: It's labelled as a virus, but there's nothing harmful. Here's the links for direct downloads if you prefer

Big shame that the English translation seems to have been phoned in. Otherwise absolutely wonderful.

The author is making a new game called Drainvania if you wanna check it out
I've seen that they are working on it, but I haven't found anything other than "I'm making this game". No demos, only a few screenshots from their ci-en.dlsite page.

Why does the attachment file say "[VIRUS]"?
