The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v2.2 Patreon Build...
Another VN/Game made using Unity, with some of the inherent flaws not really worked out...
The visuals of the characters look slightly odd... With some characters, their clothing looks like it's either too baggy or practically falling off... A majority of the faces look slightly caved in, even if they are unique when compared to most other VN/Games out there... Sometimes the characters look smooshed horizontally in some scenes, and then stretched in others... The backdrops are a mix of unique ones with some I've seen before in other VN/Games... The scene visuals sort of playout like you would see in a Japanese Hentai visual novel, where the text doesn't match what you see all the time, because the characters stay in the same poses with the same facial expressions, regardless how the text describes what's going on... What might be described as a huge smile, visually either didn't show it or the smile was so small compared to how it was textually described... Lots of stuff like that would happen... Such as near the beginning, you help with the dishes with Megan, both having a conversation with one another, but the picture still showed her and the other housemate sitting at the kitchen table, not having changed a bit.. Even though the other 2 women were supposedly not there or helping? That kind of failure to match the visuals, sometimes, with the text, happened all through this VN/Game...
The script is ok but has some broken English mixed with spelling/grammar mistakes... The story telling itself moves very quickly, seems to be missing parts of the story while telling it, mentions things that never took place in the story but it acts as though you (the reader) already experienced that part of the story already, is full of plot holes, and most of the characters are very stereotyped and a few maybe even have mild multiple-personality disorder... ;P
The plot revolves around a male protagonist, who lives with a woman (it kind of feels like it's his mother based on their relationship dynamics, but the text doesn't directly say it)… He convinces her to rent out rooms to some college students, all of which are females, of course... For whatever reasons, he is not allowed to be present when they move in, but he is then introduced to them that he lives there... Just further non-sense that feels weird... And of course he is a 20 year old pervert who doesn't have a job, and lusts after every woman in the house and beyond... Choices are presented, and they may matter in some ways, but because of poor story telling, sometimes odd things occur as a result of your choices... There are most likely hidden relationship stats and so forth for each character, as you can decide how to sort of proceed with each character, here and there...
It feels like it's taken several different story elements/tropes from other VN/Games and used them in somewhat over the top ways, both in the story telling itself, as well as the scenes and events... Almost feels like it's just kind of haphazardly throwing in a bunch of stuff, things used lots of times before in lots of other VN/Games, back to back to back... While not really keeping a consistent story going that feels all that fluid or pieced together well...
As I continued reading through it, there seemed to be parts of the story missing, or perhaps placed into the wrong order, along with everything kind of playing out really fast... There were several moments when you would see one picture for what was about to start happening, you make a choice, then suddenly the event is done with barely any further text or visual cues... Then your off to the next thing... It just adds to the confusion, and just added to the feeling that the story telling was not done well at all...
Some other things I noticed, was that several parts of the VN/Game were not worked on. or working perfectly well.. Such as the Credits button, instead of getting actual credits it seems as though it's just the default text for that function, with a link that had nothing to do with the VN/Game at all... When you select the save button, it just makes a new save, with no option to over-write old saves and no save screen... You also do not get an option to save game, while any choices are displayed (in fact all other UI choices vanish during a player selectable choice)... The load button takes you instantly back to the main splash screen, where there is another load button, but no return button... It's the lack of attention to these types of details that really should have been hashed out already...
Overall, this is basically a slightly slapped together VN/Game with many inconsistencies and a fast moving story/plot... It has some erotic bits, but they don't last long and are mostly just quick stills... It takes lots of erotic VN/Game quips (i.e. broken bathroom lock, slut character, super naïve/shy character, mean over the top character, perv male friend character, sneaky voyuerism in the home, walking in on woman taking shower event, and the list goes on) and tosses them together in a somewhat confusing fast paced story, with stereotyped and over the top characters... The visuals of most of the characters look a bit weird most of the time... The lack of attention to the story, kind of makes me think this VN/Game is meant to be more of a porn fest then anything else...
Will I revisit this one? Nope... I don't see it getting better then it is, as there is already a bunch of content, that would take A LOT of work to fix, if they even want to bother... It would almost take starting over to fix it all... I didn't even bother going through the whole thing, because after about 30 minutes of play, I had enough of it, as nothing was improving at all...
