House of Shinobi [v0.12b] Rating: 2*
I like the artstyle and the characters look pretty good.
The premise of the story is cool and I love the idea of having the option to play the psycho and making the girls your slaves.
There is not much content yet, so, many options can't be accessed for now and it feels more like a Demo.
One thing i'm not a fan of are the 'sex scenes'. The tags say animated but you'll just see still images with bad transitions, which feels half-assed.
Early in the game you have the option to fuck a girls mouth but the pics don't show that at all.
The sexual content is really the bread and butter of a XXX game and that was sadly poorly executed.
This game in it's current state is just not good enough to be 3* yet and there's a lot that can and should be improved.
It's too early to tell where this game is heading but I will follow the games progress and change the rating if it deserves it.
House of Shinobi [v0.19g] Rating: 1*
It's been nearly a year, and I have to say that I would've stuck with the rating so far if it wasn't for some major red flags in this game.
There's more content, and a few things are pretty good, like the blindfold game.
But other than that, there's still not that much you can do.
My criticism of the last version that I've reviewed still stands.
I'm not a fan of the quest log because it doesn't really explain what you have to do, and some don't get marked as completed, like doing your job a few times.
I find the game very bland, grindy and unrewarding with its empty sandbox and disconnected plots that aren't interesting or make much sense.
The most egregious red flag in this current version is the sleazy practice of the developer by hiding a bunch of scenes behind a paywall, and you get constantly reminded of the multi-tier versions through in-game ads.
The fact that this is still a blueball game that loves to dangle an imaginary carrot in front of you by teasing sex scenes or straight up cockblocking you is another big reason why I don't trust the developer.
Introducing more and more characters only dilutes the already little content that you have, which should be common sense.
Unless it's by design to drag this thing along, which many developers do to milk their subs.
That's why I doubt that this game will improve and pick up the pace anytime soon.
