Unity - Completed - House Party [v1.5.0.13444] [Eek! Games]

First of all I'll say that this is the best 3d adult game, and by game I mean a game with actual game play, puzzles and choices that change the course of the game.

The game make you feel like you are actually in a living and breathing party and immersing you by including dynamic NPCs that move and talk, dialogues that you can actually listen to, they can even hint on some side quest in the game. You have music in the background, which the game is very self conscious about how repetitive and annoying it is and let you make side quests to change the music.

The voiced dialogue is one of the best in the adult games scene, with well written and some funny characters.

The game has some interesting puzzles, which very fun at the beginning, but the farther you get the more far fetched the puzzles are, and I found them very hard to complete without the wiki. This is a shame IMO, because at the first moment I went into the wiki to learn how to achieve something, that what killed for me the game. The rest of the game play I just followed the walkthrough and lost the sense of exploration and fun. This is why I hate when games have walkthroughs, it means it got lost somewhere in the design process and make up to it by some online guides.
Aside from that, the actions you choose to take have impact on the current playthrough of the game, meaning you can't see all the content in one playthrough because some of you choices will block other missions, which for me is a bummer because I'm not the kind of player who like to replay a game if a lot of the content will be overlapping, I just don't have the patience for it.

Moreover, some of the quests are very elaborate, and by the time you will manage to get to the H scene, you will be very disappointed by it, because the animations are mediocre at best. The characters performing the animations doesn't feel like they have impact on each other and have a very bad collision.

Overall, I would recommend to play the game because when you just start fresh without knowledge about the game, it will seem to you like awesome sandbox playground where you can mess with the characters and do interesting stuff. You will find it fun to explore up to the point where you will get stuck on every quest and then you will get frustrated and just want to get to the end of each story arc.

Well, at first the game didn't catch my attention, but after playing it for a few minutes I saw all the work that they put into it, I played it and after about 4 hours, I stopped playing it... The reason? in the end i tell them

-Drawing/3D modeling: 3.5 (They're fine, there's nothing fancy, the waifus look good, apart from that everything looks good according to the game world. )

-Music/Background sound: 5 (The background music was good, for each situation or scenario there are different sounds and ambient music, and there are even voices that is already a great merit in +18 games, normally there is neither, but this one breaks that stereotype, what makes you feel really inside that world.)

-Plot: 4 ( I had never played a game with this type of plot, but I must say that it is interesting, as the protagonist performs certain actions within the party in order to get what he wants, it seems unique and interesting to me.)

Map: 5 (There's no map, it's the house, but it lets you fully explore it and it feels great, it's well done.)

-Animation: 4.5 ( The animations are good, the fluidity of how the characters walk is excellent, there is only one thing I don't like and that is that the "sandbox" is cinematic, so you only enjoy the scene according to its duration..)

- 18+ Scenes: 2 ( Regarding this, I'll be honest, I didn't finish the game, the reason? it's because it's TOO LONG to get 1 +18 scenes, I mean if you want to have a +18 scene with some npc, it will take you a long amount of time to get it if you don't have a guide, it's more even with a guide it took me 2 hours and average in getting just 1 sexual scene... I feel that you have to do too much to be able to get +18, in this aspect I don't give it more than 4 but I think that it has quite a few scenes... however it is very Tired of getting them.)

-Gameplay: 5 ( It lets you interact with several npc, depending on what you say it will give you good or bad points and according to that, you can perform various actions, but I must say that they went a long way with that here. The reason is simple, you have to do about 10 quests that can take you 2 hours, to be able to get just 1 scene.... and not to mention doing it without a guide, without a guide it will take longer, because the internal guide of the game is only clues and this kept me confused for a while if it wasn't for using the guide. In this aspect it is good and bad)


-Interface: 5 (it's well done, all clear)

When I started playing it I really got hooked right away, I say I had never played this type of game until then, but after a while I got tired, it's incredible that I want to play a +18 game, when it must take me about 2 hours to get 1 single scene, it's not fair in this aspect. I feel that this game is more narrative oriented and that it has a small bonus of sexual scenes, anyway, if you like to play a fun and long story that does not focus on +18. This is your game, if you want a balance between storyline and +18 then look elsewhere this is not for you.

It does not receive a bad score since it contains many things that other +18 games do not have, the game is very well done in the visual part (for the type of game it is), but as for the +18, in my opinion I feel that it does not they did well, but hey this was just my point of view.

Well, I'll give this game a 3, why? yes, just a waste of time. when I went through these quests, a long time ago since version 0.6 or even earlier, improving all these relations with the characters, everything went well until it came to the sex animations .. are you serious? wooden physics is miserable, after which I just deleted and forgot. people come here and play for the sake of one thing, animations, diversity and physics .. with a hand, well, in fact))) having entered the 1.0 version in the hope of at least seeing something new .. no, the developers add new quests and characters, that's all. they do not plan to improve the physics, the engine, why? let there be an ancient, wooden UNITY, but there are quests)

Quite boring, not a lot going on. Suppose to be an adventure game but your limited to the house. Then there's some dude who doesn't even live there but controls everything..? Too much grafting = 1 big headache and little to no reward.

1. 3/5 viewed as a porn game that you commonly see on this site.
2. 4/5 viewed as a comedy game with a lot of r-rated content. the rest of the view will follow this interpretation seeing as this seems like the intent.

Story
The story is funny, not hilarious but worth a good chuckle. very clearly inspired by movies like american pie but since you take the Stifler role not Jim or the other guys, it lacks any of the heart those stories had but what can you expect from a silly lewd game.

Art
The art is ok at times it feels like a ps3 game in terms a quality, like an improved version of the sims characters.

Gameplay
Gameplay ranges from ok to frustrating. its not so bad that you have to do irrational things but you do have to experiment a lot to figure out the correct sequence and sometime you only get one chance to do something, save often because you can and will lock yourself out of some quest. That being said this is the type of game that you are intended to play multiple times, I don't know if its possible to have a "perfect run" where you sleep with everyone but i doubt its possible. My biggest problem is its all a house of cards, since a lot of quest have overlap, (which is a good thing it makes you actually feel like you are at a party), you can easily mess up some questlines by progressing another characters questline, again save often.

Overall not a bad game but dont go in expected a super sexy game. also use a guide if you get frustrated you can find some one steam community.

One of the best Adult Game ever made, title say anything about what the game is, but its not a simple date sim its more like adventure game with well animated sex scenes. Each decision have impact on anything so I recommend to save game often. Have Fun <3

A direct descendent of parser-driven text adventures, House Party reminds me of the adult interactive fiction of the 90s, and I certainly mean that as praise. This is Interactive Fiction in the old-school sense, with a compact environment, lots of verbs to use, and enough objects to fill multiple pages of your inventory. Progress is satisfying, getting stuck is frustrating, and sometimes you want to use a walkthrough, but you don't and have more fun for it.

The game is well-written, looks great, has real laugh-out-loud moments and interesting stories for most of the characters to follow. The main story, when it really gets moving, does manage to feel like an increasingly chaotic house party.

However, it lacks some of the openness of the old-school games. Rarely can you combine items in unexpected ways, rarely is there that moment when you think, "no way is this going to do anythin--damn, the dev even thought of that." Part of this probably comes down to the dialogue menu being the main tool for both advancing and telling the story, as it would in a modern visual novel. This half of the game's identity often butts heads with the pick-up-and-try-everything approach of its adventure game half, and sometimes I found myself quitting the game to play proper visual novels where more limited interactions managed to feel more immersive.

I think this minor identity crisis is evident in other parts of House Party as well. The game is full of incidental dialogue that is funny and revealing, but it's played at an extremely low volume and has no effect in the play-space. There is dialogue that characters can overhear and react to, but it is, again, limited to the dialogue trees. NPCs are scheduled to move around the house, but have little to interact with, and are sometimes literally standing alone in a corner. The game gives you the ability to remove articles of clothing individually, has a urine and an orgasm meter, but exposing yourself seems to have limited and context-specific uses and consequences. In other words, the game systems are there, but they don't feel fully fleshed out.

And of course, systems are the hardest part of game design. Developers spend their whole careers theorizing about how to tell a story through interaction. The creators of House Party deserve a lot of praise (and sales) for their synthesis of a lot of design ideas, as well as their creation of a really great storytelling tool. House party is extremely fun interactive fiction that has a ton of satisfying elements in its toolset but doesn't quite manage to use them all in harmony.

Not this time, anyway. I have high hopes that future stories will do amazing things with these tools.

This game has the merit of being one of the few 3D porn games available (and the only one I have played); and by 3D I mean real first-person 3D world rendered in real-time, and not just static renders made in a 3D program that are, of course, 3D computer graphics, but not a 3D game. With that comes the limitations... The graphics are not only old but don't have the same quality as the pre-rendered games. It has to be done in real-time and, thus, it uses simplified textures and fewer polygons, so it's unfair to compare them with those other games; you have to compare it with other first-person 3D games (shooters/walkers/whatever) released at the same time, and I'd say that House Party doesn't lag behind. The problem is those who are looking for a fap don't make excuses, so they'll probably prefer the pre-rendered games and find this one crap.
My opinion then is this... If you're looking for a fun game and a different experience, play it (like you would play a game such as Leisure Suit Larry -- and I know we shouldn't mention other games in reviews, but I think it's excusable in this case, since Larry is a classic by a big studio). If you're just looking for a fap, search somewhere else because you'll be frustrated... As said multiple times, the sex scenes aren't that great and also lack variety.
So, you're probably asking, why do I give it 5 stars? 1st, for being unique; 2nd because it's not only a funny story but also fun to play. So I'm judging it as a game and not as fap material; as a fap material, I would consider it an appetizer at best and give it 3 stars for that, considering the time of its release and for being an indie game, probably with a small budget.

So, this game has been out for a while and I can say rather firmly that the Dev is really reliable. The scenes are ok quality, the story and characters are really fun, and the overall experience while nowhere near triple or even double A, it is a stand out among the 18+ gaming scene. However the fact that is started development a while ago have left the game dated in terms of art and animation, which may change in the future though I wouldn't rely on that.

Characters 10/10
The characters are always memorable, especially when compared to most adult games. The highest praise I can give them is that I am able to remember each and every characters name and personality. Which very very few adult games manage.

Gameplay 7/10
The gameplay is pretty good, exploring the house and movement in general are fairly average, and the quest system is very easy to follow. Letting you know what you need to do for each character at any point in the playthrough. Though I recommend saving often as you can be locked out of content through making the wrong decisions at a bad moment.

Sex 4/10
The sex scenes are on the whole, passable. Though some criticism I can offer is the fact that they are a bit vanilla for my taste. Add this to the fact that the game shows its age, through both the sex and the art. The sex scenes themselves are a bit stiff, robotic, and plain. Zero interactability aside from choosing who you fuck.

Art 6/10
The art isn't bad, the girls are hot and the guys are memorable. But this is one of the aspects of the game that definitely shows its age. The models can be waxy, unemotional, so on and so forth. You can definitely tell it started development a long while ago.

1 star. this game is super buggy, ancient textures, poor graphics bad update d support. the developer has a record of overpromising and underdelivering and still hasn't released the female main character update. Meanwhile he's charging people for explicit content updates. Wouldn't surprise me if there were microtransactions next. This game is a disgrace.

House Party [v0.21.2] review

What it is: Full 3d scavenger hunt gameplay during a house party.

Positives:
+ AMAZING voice acting. That shit is funny yo.
+ Cool dynamics between the characters and their environment.
+ Really complete game, with hours of (non-sex) content.

Negatives:
- The sex scenes are just plain bad. No interactions during sex scenes. This really defeats the purpose of having a full 3d game. It's just a short movie playing out. It's really baffling that the camera locks during sex because throughout the rest of the game the camera is free to move around. (Well, I found one exception, the Stephanie sex scene, but that's not enough to keep me from docking points.) It's really weird that the sex scenes are so sub-par when the rest of the game is so extremely polished. Also, the first sex scenes are really deep into the game, so be prepared for some frustrating hours before you get to play 'hide the sausage'.
- The models and the scenes aren't up to 2022 modern standards. They feel stiff, and there's a lot of clipping. The jiggle physics are stiff. Skin textures are kinda basic.
- The game is utterly unplayable without a walkthrough, and still very hard while using the provided walkthrough, because it's outdated. Seriously, don't even think about trying this without a walkthrough because there are a million ways to fuck up and lock yourself out of content.
- Content within the game is often either/or choices. If you want to experience this game 100 % you'll need a million playthroughs. Or a million different saves at all the branches. Which will be hard because it isn't always clear that a branching choice has been made.
- It's too easy to fuck up your playthrough. Try to flirt with a character in the wrong way 1 time and you're forever locked out of a sex scene with that character. Help character A, and suddenly you're locked out from progress with character B. Drink 1 beer with the wrong character watching and it's instant game over. This kind of gameplay forces you to mash that save button all the time, and when you forget it you'll have to repeat the same stuff you already did again and again. Easily 1/3 of my time with this game was spent replaying events I already did because I forgot to save and then fucked up. Games which put heavy emphasis on save/load and repeating gameplay are rarely good, and this game is no exception.

All in all, I recommend this game if you aren't in it for the lewds because the writing and voice acting is really good and funny. But if you are here for a fap, forget about it. 0 faps were had during my time with this game.

One of the few 3D games on this forum that deserve the tag. No prerendered scenes, it's all done in real 3D. Free movement, lots of fun scenes, hot girls, direct interaction with the environment. I bought the game years ago and I'm still not tired of it, I'm always eager to see what's new in the current version.

Cant believe how much time I wasted on this. Unless you like reading walkthroughs for every single character and every single action you are going to do I wouldn't bother.

For a game that pushed the fact its free world, free choice, and freedom to do what you want, it really isn't.

It isn't organic in any way. There is a set route to do stuff for every single character, and if you dont do it that way, no sex scenes for you. They could have programmed it for multiple slightly different actions to bring you to the same outcome, but they havent, which really contradicts the whole premise of the game.

The environment, characters, dialogue, clothes, movement etc are all top quality 5 stars. some of the best you'll ever see but the actual gameplay and its linear progrssion are pretty crap.

I have no idea why I find this game so fun. One of the few games with actual voice acting, which is hilarious. It's come a long way since the original release. Please give this game a shot, it's worth your time. Whether it's just kicking back a beer or having your ass kicked by Frank. Enjoy!

The game has splendid graphics, and it is awesome being able to have the freedom to walk around and do whatever you want. The characters have good artificial intelligence so they are always moving around the house and doing different things. But that's really the only good things about this game. I was looking for a good adult game, but this one doesn't satisfy my adult needs. I've been playing countless hours, and I've only progressed enough to have sexual interactions with one female named Katherine. She was easy. All I had to do was give her some liquor. But all those countless hours wasted walking around, talking to people, inspecting items, and using objects just for 20 seconds of sex. It was a real pain. My only reward was a quick sex scene that I could not pause and enjoy. It played out before I could do anything. Once a sex scene starts, we should be able to control how long it lasts. We should be able to watch the same sex animation on a loop before we press the spacebar to move on to the next sex animation. And it would be better if we could move the camera duing the sex scene, instead of the game showing us a 20 second movie that we have no control over. Not only that, but the sex scenes with her were buggy. After entering Madison's bedroom to have sex with Katherine, the music stopped and the camera just pointed at the MC's legs. I had to press the Esc button twice to make the music start again and for the scene to continue. Then when she gave me a bottle to drink from, the music stopped once again and the camera pointed at the ceiling. So I had to press Esc twice once again to progress the scene. The cum also looks very artificial. It looks like someone sprinking large white flower petals. I tried to play the game without any walkthroughs, but after playing for nine hours I got really bored so I decided to peek. I was severely disappointed when I discovered that there were a lot of things that I would have never figured out on my own or are too late to do now. I am actually stuck in the game. I can't get with Stephanie because the eye drops that I need are in the bathroom that Madison locked herself in. I can't get with Ashley because I never found out that Madison spilled beer on Ashley and it's too late to throw beer on Madison now. I can't get with Amy because I can't get Frank to witness me having sex with a female. It's a real crap show, and after wasting countless hours playing this game I don't want to repeat everything all over again. I actually gave up. I decided to uninstall the game. There were some other things about the game that can be improved. I like my game windows to be a certain size and position. But anytime that I load a save, the game window changes size to some supported width and height and I have to resize the window all over again. Having had to do that one billion times because I save and load save a lot was so freaking frustrating. Why can't they make the game not change window sizes on a load save? The window size should be locked on load save. Also, if you sort your inventory alphabetically and load a save, guess what? It's no longer alphabetical. During my first two minutes of gameplay, I was really excited for the game and I thought that I would end up adding it to my forum signature. But it was a huge disappointment. I don't see how anyone could finish this game from beginning to end, let alone play it more than once to unlock various paths and females. No thank you. The models, scenery, and game mechanics could have made this game top tier. But because of it's boring gameplay, it ended up being really bad.

The story, the engine and the character is great but we can't enjoy just the same concept at madison's house party all the times, we need a place and new character with new conflict we enjoy the same old intro new character it won't be fun i know they going to update the female version but it still the same place

Excellent game. The first-person experience both in walking and lewd scenes make this game amazing and unique. It is pretty hard to get to the girls without the walkthrough tho, but I don't see anything wrong with a bit of challenge

Is it 'bad'? Maybe too strong. Is it on par with the wealth of adult game content that is out there? No, not really. Is it going to get better? Well since it's still locked into some things from it's inception 4 years ago and technology and the adult game industry moves on, doubtful. Not perhaps a waste of time but there's better out there and, at this point years later, quite a bit better out there. 2 stars in our current market.

The game was promising at the start and bought it on steam but i was a mistake. Is a very boring game wth so many repetitive things to do over and over again. Girls are kind of hot but sex poses are very artificial and poorly made also this is a good looking game but with not much details in the models and cum looks like garbage. Story is very simple and characters makes you hate them so much because of huge list of stupid things you must do to achieve some kind of payoff. Devs keep adding shit nobody ask about so i recommend to support other devs who makes good games you can find here with passion and attention to details with hard work. Dont waste your time with it!
