How can I fix the alert section?

I messed it up somehow before, then forgot about it, and now I tried to fix it but it didn’t work.
In the past, the bell icon in the top right would normally show red numbers like (2) or (3). Those notifications aren’t appearing anymore.
People are commenting, liking, etc., but I’m not getting any notifications there.
Which setting do I need to turn on or off? I’d appreciate it if you could explain.

There's some stuff in the settings under preferences you can mess around with.
You can reset your alerts to see if that does anything.


You could also mess around with the alert settings to see if that fixes anything.


If it's still not working for you, I'd open a ticket.

When you sent a message, the red notification didn’t appear. I applied the settings you mentioned, so we’ll wait for now.
I don’t have the “Restore Dismissed Notices” option under the “Hide Featured Games” like you do.

nevermind the restore dismissed notices, that refers to the red banners at top: maintenance avis, uploader applications are open, some game had malware - that sort of stuff.

are you just missing the red numbers, or are there really no new alerts when you click on the bell ?

and are you coming here by desktop or mobile ?
some weirdo ancient webbrowser? some no-script extension?

well if you are currently using the brave web browser you need to set your current notifications settings for the forum and allow the site permissions for the browser's settings as well.


but if you are still not getting notifications try using different web browser and make comparison, and if you get notification alerts from the other browser then that means you probably didn't set your browser settings accordingly for your current browser then, making the adjustment to the settings maybe could work, try that.

What could Brave settings have to do with the red numbers that are supposed to appear on the bell icon here?

Yes, I can see the notifications when I click the bell icon, but the red numbers do not appear on top of the bell icon.

I don’t know, but I’m sure it’s not related to any Brave setting. I’ve been using Brave for many years. I had changed something in the alert settings a few months ago, and it’s been like this since then, but I just can’t figure out what I changed.

Site permissions will affect notifications displayed by the browser (e.g. as a popup), but AFAIK F95 doesn't make use of that. The alerts in the forum are only internal to the site.

Okay, final thing before I'm out of ideas:
When you say the red alert marks don't show up, do you mean that it doesn't show up while the page is open, or do they also not show up if you reload the page?

have you tried using different browser and see if you experience the same thing happening? at this point it can be the type of browser you are using or this is based on the forum internally. only trying to help but seems there is no resolution.
