How difficult is it to develop your own game?

I have little to no Coding experience and was wondering how difficult would it be to develop a Whore master 6. As in making a game that could incorporate real pictures and Management of your own Harem and brothel with custom Quest's?

Artist or some way to get art (or just make a text based game)
programmer or someone who can use tools like twine, renpy, rpgMaker.

I spent years getting the skillsets to make games, coding mostly and decent art, but now it's an issue of trying to commit to projects or good ideas, keeping projects on the back burning is how I keep most things alive. If you work on projects like a job then you start to loose interest.

It is difficult and it will take a lot of time. But, it can be done if you want to get it done. Just start with something simple, either a simple VN with 1-2 branches or try to break your game idea in different components and learn how to make those. For example, start by programming the Harem part of it ( interactions with the characters, how to display different scenes based on some conditions) or start on the quest system. This way you will have a set objective and if you finnish that, you can start on the next one. In a couple of months, your game code will be done. Then all you need is to find the artist/ images.

If I can do it, you can as well.

If you really want to make a game because you like doing it, you do not need artists, coders, etc. You can have fun doing it all by yourself and it is not difficult, I have been releasing a game weekly and my side project "almost" weekly (every 10 days or so).

If you are committed, you can make it. It will just take time.

I wanted to know too, so I looked it up. It's not that hard, the hardest part is to make money for a good computer to render good 3dcg.

If you have an interesting story, just share it. You will always find a team of specialists to turn it into a game. You will not succeed alone include PC, soft and etc. Success is in trust and common goals.

Most of the good devs on here started out not knowing much or even anything about creating a game, they just started with an idea and went from there.

There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube, on here and on the various sites; for example, there is a really good step by step tutorial on the RenPy website showing you how to create a simple game from scratch.

Pretty easy if you know how to crop a picture in photoshop and are willing to understand every little stuff you do and how they work. I started with tutorials on youtube, and since I had some experience on how command works in excel or even macros in WoW, it is not very hard to figure out on your own:

It took me less than a month to learn, and the rest was mostly TRYING to find an artist, which was and still is the hardest part for me, so I said fuck it and made the art by myself too.

As you start fucking with, say, renpy, it gets easier, and it also serves as introduction for other languages and engines like C++ or Godot.

is not about how difficult or what skill set you have, but is more about how much time will you put it in.

time is the key in making any thing.
