VN Ren'Py How do I play the new update using old saves?

I'm sure this has asked several times, but I can't seem to find a post to help me.

I'm currently playing My Bully Is my lover and previously stopped at update 6c. The creator has update the game and is currently on patch 7b.
So my question is, how do I update and continue playing the new update from where I stopped? I don't really wanna replay the whole game from the beginning.

Just start up the game, there's a save folder in your appdata it should find. Otherwise there's another in the games "game" folder you can move over. Assuming nothing majors changed to mess with the saves, and your on a PC.

The game thread does recommend starting new though.

Thanks. Yeah I suppose I'll just wait for another update and then start it all over again.
